I will always remember that day. Believe me safety first is the policy now, but don't blame it on the tires completely. I saved the car at the 330 and should have shut the car down and return to the pits. It will not be long before I return to the track. I am looking into 16 inch drag radials and other mods to keep her straight. Lots of things learned.

Hey what's up guys. Doesn't seem to be much activity here, and not one single Marauder has registered. Are there Marauders up North and in the Maryland area that want to race with the Chevys and Mopars?
Don't forget that there is a discount for pre-registering... http://nshs.ecirs.org/registration/register
Next few weeks will decide for me. New engine will be done soon.

I love the smell of Nitromethane and rubber in the morning!
Drag racers prayer:
As I lay rubber down the street, I pray for traction I can keep, but if I spin and begin to slide, please dear God protect my ride." -Amen
So who's doing this blicky.

It just isn't a Super Heavy Shootout without you guys.

I'm trying to get 2 cars ready to get there. Its gonna be tight. I hate early spring events.

I can't wait to see a bunch of badass Marauders/CV's/LSC's roll in! Loved to see it in Atlanta at the SSHS's I went to (SSHS4, SSHS6, SSHS7, SSHS10) and definitely can't wait to see it up north!
Well I am pretty sure you are joking but either way it doesn't matter, any car that's eligible can run in the brackets no matter how fast/slow. I remember in the early days of SSHS that guy with the Country Squire wagon would win big in the brackets running 18's!
Please do! Would love to see your junk (no homo).
Thanks ctrlraven! We stirred up quite a lot of fun on that MD Racers forum so far, eh?
Git er done!
Outstanding! Thanks for being a valued sponsor!
This event will hopefully become just as big if not bigger than SSHS.
Yeah I hear you but the trade off is we get to run in the sickest weather (DA) at one of the best prepped tracks thats 10 feet short and downhill!
We LOVE Cecil, we hit it every December for "Cold Air Drag Day" and again in March for our season opener to shoot for your best times of the year. I got my personal bests at Cecil in December 2008, December 2009, and December 2011 lol. LOVE CECIL!

Hope to see a lot of you big car buddies there. Please register and please support this event as a spectator if you don't want to or aren't ready to race.
Or maybe you guys are a little skeered?
It's good to be back on this forum, I last logged in Nov. 2007!!!

Normally, on any given race day I would love to send you and your bucket's of rush back home with your tails between your legs. It's a long way form Commerce G.A. to your home in NY, but that was in the past.
You guys truly add meaning to hotel burnouts. I laughed my A$$ off when a family evacuated there hotel room because they thought a major fire had been started. You Impala dudes have a reputation to uphold and you don't let anyone get in your way.
I will be at Cecil as a spectator because my car is down for repairs. So this time Mr. Kahuna I will sit on the side lines and BS with others. Maybe next time we can line up at the tree and the world will be a better place.
Oh, which hotel is everyone staying at? That's where the real party begins.
