"Problem Child" wins 2nd in car show!

This past Sunday I was out for a cruise and ran across a car show here in Ladson,SC. I had no intentions of entering my silver 04 a.k.a. "problem child"(Dennis remembers) but the gate attendant talked me into it. I entered for best ford/mercury in show and won second place( I lost to a '96 CV with 26" rims...go figure) but all and all everyone loved it, especially when i lifted the hood to show off the vortech air-to-air Dennis installed a week before i moved up here. Thanks Dennis! People loved the fact that the car still had that "original" look, not all the "bling" that most car shows go for nowadays. Most people were amazed to actually see a MM, so far I'm one of two that I've saw in this area. Wish i had some pics but like i said it was a spur of the moment and I really didn't intend to enter the car, i probally would have gotten first place but most of the CV's and Grand Marquis in the show were ridin high on 24 and 26" rims...they need to bring them back down to the ground and lay that rubber where it really counts...on the ground.

It sounds to me that people down there are use to the stupid look of CV/GM's ridin' high on 22"+ rims and probably thought your car was stupid looking lol. Sounds like you should have got first though. Congrats.

Way to represent the MM family and congratulations on placing in the show. It's a great feeling ain't it.

Last October, I took a 2nd place in the 2000-2006 Stock Class at the huge annual UPS car show (> 1,500 cars) in Laurel, MD. The Bluerauder placed between two Ford GT supercars. I was quite surprised.

Congrats on the 2nd place. I think they added up the points wrong and you got jammed, but then I am prejudice to the Panther.
