As part of my shenanigans for this project I spun up some pcbs for a obd2 scanner. I have a few left over so I thought I'd sell them for $5 shipped each. (i mean I hope shipping isn't that much...)
Bill of Materials, and all other info can be found here (All thanks to him, it is all his work)
If you get a genuine elm chip it will be much more expensive than those cheap china scanners. So why build it? Well, back in the day of elm 1.0 they forgot to protect their code so it was extracted and is now used in all those fake chips.
Years passed and elm is now up to v2.2 with more features and bugfixes, etc.
You will see those cheap scanners labeled as elm 1.5. that is how you know it is fake, elm never made a v1.5, it is just a re badged v1.0
If anyone wants one let me know!

A bluetooth scanner for the obd port in your car. So you can read info via your laptop or phone or something.
In the link I gave there is a file called BOM. That is the bill of materials aka the parts you need to build it. Order that stuff from like mouser or digikey, solder it all up on to this board, off you go.
This is for a DIYer who wants the latest genuine elm chips and not some cheap junk off ebay.
