Blue or red Canadian MM's would be the rarest MM's
Well, we've been finding a whole lotta illegal grow-ops around here lately.

Apparently there is a DPB one here. My brother saw it when cruising one Sunday night. I don't know if it's the one that was for sale I mentioned.

"for the grand sum of $43000 Canadian"
That doesn't sound too bad to me. Isn't 15000km and $43000 Canadian something like 50 miles and $1.75 US?

Yea, I got the impression they were fleet vehicles of some sort. 2 year lease. Probabally corporate type, because they are low km (~20k) and all seem to need new back tires that they can seem to get.

Only 3 DTR's!! I know there is one in Edmonton, one supposedly in Calgary. I wonder where the third is?

Ohhh! He wants to get playful! No, it's more like $37,000USD. And be careful with that joke. It's a delicate antique.

Laugh it up... with the US dollar dropping faster than GM stock values, I'm thinking I should have just bought and imported a used Marauder from the US!

Back in 2003, I think it was more like $29500. (I checked the exchange rate for the day I picked up the car). That was for my 'best deal' $43000 Can.

Sticker price being $49800 CAN at the time, that made for a US equivalent of $34000, again using the rate for the purchase date.

So this 15000 km Marauder with no warranty and $40000 Can TODAY would translate to just over $34000 US. Yep. Essentially what the cars were sticker priced WHEN THE CARS WERE INITIALLY RELEASED IN THE US!

    Absolutely nuts...

If you're interested, mine has had so many parts replaced, it might just be the newest 54,000 mile MM on the planet!

But then again, we didn't buy them from an investment perspective, did we?

Kennyrauder, has a 2003 Mercury Marauder & may part with it for the right price (US) of course. The car is pristine with 30,000 KM which works out to 24,000miles. I had a Reinhart Stage 1 installed in September with the Vortech 9 psi boost. Dennis had to detune the Marauder a touch due to unavailability of 93 octane in Northern Ontario Canada. It dyno'd at 390 RWHP&382 Foot pounds of tourque. When I got back home the car picked up at least 20 HP as the air here is so cool. The Marauder comes with another year of warranty plus I had taken the extended warranty also 2 -100 KM which is fully transferable. The vehicle has been impeccabely serviced & never raced. All oil changes are done every 3 months with Mobile1 full synthetic. It is also rust proofed & rust checked. New summer rear tires & Bridgestone winters(4) on steel rims. It also has upgraded front & rear sway bars as well as spare plugs & 2 serpentine belts. It pulls like a train yet delivers at least 4 to 6 miles to the Canadian gallon better than before the Reinhart extreme make over. I really love this car but I,m thinking of a f-150. If anyone is interested call me on my cell 705-266-0788. It really would be a great stocking stuffer. There are no surprises here just a great super charged car. Call Dennis Reinhart for a referall.

Was that a Red one??? That could be #3!!

Yea, I wanted Blue when I bought mine. The dealer, who had 3 black, said blue wasn't available, that the website was wrong.

Ahh, well. I've seen the blue, and love it, but I still love my black.

Two year leases are very common here, and even more so with Ford employees.

Hope he's had fun tracking down all the gremlins.
