April 30, 2012 BIG day in my life.

Well fellow Marauderers as of April 30th I will be retireing after 6 years active duty Air Force and 27 years of DOD service. It has been an interesting career for me, but these last few years have been difficult. I used to enjoy going to work and doing my best to build Quality electronics for our War Fighters. But with the influx of new young people I do not want to be associated with the work that is being done now. Our management does not seem to care as long as they put something out the door. Plus all the cutbacks they are proposing to our military tells me it it time to go. I would say that I will miss the people I work with but most of them have already retired. I guess now I will devote more time to my fleet of Marauders and keep them flying!!

    Congrats! Thanks for your service.
I too am getting out of active duty AF after 6 years. 5 1/2 years of AWACS and the constant deployments burned me out.

92BlackGT that is quite a system you are involved with. I worked on the early Navy version back in 1986. I hope you can get work in something you enjoy when you get out. Good luck!
