    New to marauders, couple questions.

I just bought my marauder on Sunday and had it on the lift last night and I couldn't believe how tiny the exhaust is! Now I read you can use a mid pipe from a mustang? Is this correct? I would like to up it to 2.5 all the way back and throw an x pipe in with high flow cats. I also don't want it to be really loud being this is my daily. Just a nice tone. Any suggestions?

I can give my input on Flowmaster's if you go that route. This is what I have.

I went with Flowmaster 40's; then changed them one day later, as they were really loud for me. I went with the 50 Delta's. Great tone, and much "tamer".
As far as pipes; get rid of the second set of cats if you can (the ones furthest from the engine). It doesn't effect emmisions testing. Sound will change right there.
"X" pipe - "H" pipe - your call on that. X gives more of a rasp. H gives more of that old hot rod grumble.
Don't go any bigger than 2.5".
Just my thoughts. There will be others.
    Cheers and welcome.

If you use a Mustang mid-pipe, you can eliminate both the OEM cats and replace with a pair of high-flow cats.

You'll want to get an off-road mid-pipe, though, as they'll have the correct length to cut and fit in the new cats.

I run x pipes on everything as well as customers cars that we build. If a mustang mid pipe fits, what year mustang is it used from?

I'm running and off-road Mac Pro-Chamber for an '03 Cobra with Magnaflow hi-flow cats.

I like the set-up, best of both X-pipe and H-pipe performance features.

The high flow cats fit between th pipes and chamber to provide the extra length needed to clear the crossmember on the Marauder.

Awesome, thanks for the pic! I guess down the road I'll be getting an 03 cobra x pipe and i'm still undecided on the mufflers because I really dont want anything loud. I just want something slllightly louder than stock. Has anyone confirmed and mpg inprovements by upping to a 2.5" system?

I'm still running stock mufflers with res-delete tips. The mid-pipe and cats have increased volume slightly, but still quiet, which is the way I want it.

Minimal change to mpg, if at all.

Delete the 2nd set of cats, that is a noticeable sound improvement over stock.

Other than the MEGS (which I am waiting on) are there any other production deleted tips at 3.50 or 4 out there worth looking at? I want some before the end of the summer and looks like the MEGS guys won't go into production till Sept (I'm still going to grab a set from them too). Any ideas?

But doesn't a factory mustang pipe NOT bolt to the Marauder manifolds?
