I understand!! The pan is really heavy duty and adds strength to the tranny case. The additional 2-3 qts. didn't hurt either. I think it took 14 qts to fill the system. We used Amsoil ATF. I like because it doesn't start to oxidize until 420 F instead of 260 F with petroleum based ATF.Originally Posted by Logan

Just did mine. I got the B&M 3 quart more pan and used redline D4 ATF. Torque converter unlocking shudder is gone.

Dennis - That trans pan looks great. The additonal fluid is a definite plus. Is the green wire hooked up to a temp gauge and is there any problem with road clearence? Thanks.

Yes I put that there Barry called me all concerned because his temp was below 125 thats how well theis cooler and lines work on the car
Below 125? Isn't that too cold? Fluids have a proper operating temperature range. I thought for ATF, it was between 160-200 degrees, with nominal temperature being 180 degrees?

I have a B&M pan which I didn't install yet due to time. A few questions though...
1. Could you give details on those braided hoses & fittings?
2. There wasn't a gasket included with my pan, should I replace the original gasket?
3. Is there any kind of longer pickup or filter needed?
