Coronado Speed Festival will have it's first car show this year!
OCTOBER 7 AND 8 2006 MARK IT IN YOUR CALENDAR
The Annual Coronado Speed Festival in San Diego on NAS North Island is coming up and I am organizing it's first ever car show  with 80 trophies to be awarded BOTH days! 40 First place and 40 Second place trophies awarded Saturday and Sunday. Entry fee includes one ticket into the races and one free t-shirt. Please email me for an entry form to the show if you are interested in attending. The goal is to make it the largest annual car show in San Diego and at the same time raise funds for MWR(Morale, Welfare and Recreation)

MWR at Miramar does it yearly too.
I used to attend that. This one at Coronado should be GREAT!

OK I'll bite.
This is the show that one of our great (and more famous) marauder guys has always spoken very highly of. In fact he got it set up for several marauders to be able to park in the car corral for the car show last year. Unfortunately I was unable to attend last year. Those that did attend reported back with nothing less than extreme enthusiasm about the entire weekend. Question... Can we get a few of our Marauders in there this year together (We do understand that this is mostly a "vintage" car event... so it nearly precludes our 03/04 model year cars...but it was done last year so maybe this year too?) I am pretty sure we can come up with two or three marauders...maybe more if we can get pre-authorized to show them.

Attached is the flyer for the Car Show minus the artwork on the flyer.
You are all more than welcome to bring anything to the show- there is a Mercury Category ( just for Marauders  ). I would highly recommend you pre-register by this weekend and save money and come to BOTH days...Have Chuck beal's Funny car firing up at 1200pm both days! The goal is to make this the largest car show in San Diego and compliment an already great event of vintage racers going at it! Please pm me if you have any questions. COME ON OUT!!!
