Looking for advice from the great members of this site. I joined MM.net in September of 2003 just after taking delivery of my 2003 black 300a, over the years I been more of an observer to this site (as you can see not to many postings) taking in all the knowledge of the other owners and learning a lot about this great car. This site has talked me out of selling my MM many of times, as I was getting closer to 100,000 miles I had decided to keep her I just couldn’t let go of the car being the first car I ever bought new and how solid of a car it was very limited problems in the 112,000 that I drove it. What brings me to this I was driving home last Wednesday night on 93 in a snow storm when I was cut off by an SUV trying to avoid another car I tried to move but I spun twice and landed head on into the guard rail. I am grateful there were no injuries and no other cars were hit the SUV just kept going. I credit this car for being as safe as it is. I had the car towed to the Ford dealer I deal with and they are almost certain that the car will be totaled, just waiting to hear from the insurance company who has issued the claim to the total loss department with out even looking at the car. In the event that the car is not repairable I would like to get another Marauder try a 2004 this time around its hard to find any black in my area of Massachusetts but I found one with 33,981 on the clock http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...ce=&cardist=39 but what troubles me is on the carfax (thank you to MarauderMark for running this for me) is that if I bought this I would be the fifth owner of this car with that low of milage. Should I be concerned that there were four other owners getting out of this? I know the easiest thing to do is to go look at the car and test drive it but thought I would check here. Hi, a little of topic but i do alot of autobody and if u can post pics i maybe interested in buying the car from you or the insurance co. I would like to rebuild it before it goes to the junk yard thanks.

I wouldn't be concerned about it, could just be the previous owner's didn't like the car, or it was something totally different than what they thought it would be and decided to ditch it. The CarFax checks out, run an OASIS with RoyLPita to see if that checks out.

There is an extremely low milage DTR for sale in Cleveland.

owners 2 and 3 look like the same car dealership.

I would discount them and say that head sales guy wanted to drive a Marauder.

Really 2 other owners. The 3rd might also be a dealership. Not sure how you can find out.



Not as good as having 1 previous owner from new, but with a clean carfax and Oasis, PM RoyLPita, it should be fine. Note some Marauders are lemons, and most are not. They do have little problems, but then so does every maker.

Let Roy run it and see if it has any mechanical issues, and take it to a good mechanic to get it checked out before buying.
