How do you like the 7D?

Love it! I have a battery grip for it as well, so I can easily bump out over 2000 RAW images on a single charge.

You really need to use L glass with it though, the kit lens doesn't do it justice. I have the 24-70mm f/2.8L and it is a perfect match for the 7D. I've also been eyeballing the 70-200mm f/2.8L, but it's a little pricey.

Hopefully some day I'll be good enough to justify the 5D, but I don't think I'm ready to spend $2500 on a camera body.

Ouch, I haven't touched this thread in almost a year! Time to bring it back to life!

For starters, here is one of the last pictures I took in San Diego before we moved the ship up to Washington. It was San Diego's way of rubbing it in that we were going up to this crappy state.

Wow, those frames look sweet! I'm glad you enjoy the pictures, it means a lot to me that you enjoy my work. If even one person can get something out of it, that makes it all worth it.

I was in the process of setting up a permanent shop for people to get my photos, but then I went to sea for 9 months haha. I'll be getting that up soon to make it easier for people to get pics if they want them. As soon as I find a good local print shop, I'll let everyone know about getting prints shipped!

As usual, I haven't had a lot of time for photo hunting. I've been working locked night shift 7 days a week for the last month, so that's really been hampering me. Last night though, I got the night off so I decided to get a few shots of Seattle early morning. Here are a couple of my favorites:

THats some AMAZING photography...and you're smack dab in the middle of gods country...heading south ,from what I can gather lurking around here.
Spotted your ad on autotraders, doesn't do your car justice.
BTW, what mountain is that in the back? Rainier?

Thanks! I'll be heading back down to San Diego next year. Yep, that's Mt. Rainier.

Thanks man! There's a lot of competition around here though, it's pretty easy to get great pictures. Even on the random Tuesday morning that I was out there I was surrounded by people taking pictures of the sunrise. I'd love to see my photo in something here, but the photo market here is pretty flooded. Someday maybe
