If your state doesn't have emissions then there is no issue with turning a FI car into a carb. There are carb kits for the 4.6 dohc and I guess a stand alone engine management system. Also if the motor is a crate motor then it's considered new and the federal year law factor doesn't apply from what I have read on stuff like this in the past.

Good info Chris, but the way I won't mind going has no computer. I don't think they would appreciate an 03 with no OBD2 port?
And yes, we have emissions here. Have had them up our arse for close to 20 years now.
