Anyone have any tips on changing the rear door Actuator lock motor ?

Remove the door panel, remove the rivet that secures the actuator, unplug actuator and remove actuator from the lock assembly.

Use a 1/4-20 bolt, washer and nyloc nut in place of the rivet.

That rivet is HUGE and requires a gargantuan rivet gun to install. ANY bodyshop has it and will gladly snap a new one in to make it stock.

Btw......... You don't have to drill out the rivet to remove it.

Punch out the center of the rivet (the mandrel), bend the "ears" back and forth until they break off, pop the rest of the rivet out.

Use stainless steel nut, washer and bolt so you don't have any rust issues.

The factory rivet is 1/4". If you have to have the factory look checkout Harbor Freight for a rivet gun and rivets

I left the stock bracket on the door and just poped out the motor , screws out of door latch to unhook rod , reverse works great
used aftermarket motor , seem like they have more kick to them

yes but front doors are a little harder to get to , would need to loosen the glass track up
