Not sure if any of you remember a while back I took a road trip with a buddy to swap his 55 Chevy sedan which had been sitting in his garage for years for a 50 f1. Since then he is like a teenager with the thing, he absolutely loves it.
A group of us were at a comedy club one evening (about 18 months ago) and we were just bs'ing about this and that and his truck came up. I remembered it had a place for a front plate and with him being a Harley guy I asked what was taking so lng to get a plate for it. He said nope "I'm not putting a Harley plate on it" :confused: His buddy Larry and I look at each other like wtf is this roger speaking. So I ask him what are you going to put on it? He replied "I don't know something different". Larry and I being guys started laughing, and simultaneously said he wants a plate that reads something different. Roger started laughing and said yeah that would be pretty cool! He said in black with raised letters and looked right at me. I was like what the hell? I replied you know we could engrave letters pretty easy and he said no wouldn't look right. We laughed it off until about a week ago and I decided with the help of limited360 doing som cad work my machine and one of my guys we would make the rest of Rogers gifts suck this Christmas. :D
I called him into the shop by telling him the young guy he trained needed help on the jig grinder. He didn't seem happy but being a good friend he said let me get dressed and eat breakfast.
Once he saw it he couldn't stop smiling for a few minutes. He went home and took the truck out of storage and brought up to the shop to get measurements for mounting. By the next day it was painted and truck put back away for winter.
