Well, just the other day i had a weird scare, i was trying to reverse into a parking spot, i went dfrom drive to reverse and i had nothing, gave it a little gas and then it just jammed VERY hard into reverse. I knew it was odd, and thought nothing of it; until tonight! :depress: I was going to pull out of lowes tonight, i put it into reverse, this time from park, it took about 5 seconds then it just jammed into reverse, vey hard again! It was almost like when you dont use an e-brake on a hill and put it into gear, but this was on a level surface.
So i decided to check my trany fluid, it was a a bit low, i checked it with the car running, at operating temp. The readings were at the bottom of the hatch mark, the manual says it should be near the top of the hatch mark. So i bought some ATF (mercon v of course) and filled up about half a quart. Everything seems good now!
The odd thing is i have no tranny leaks, and the only tranny "mod" is a trany cooler, which i installed about a month ago, and i did add the extra fluid.
My quess may be that either the traany link cable is out of whack, i was low on fluid, maybe from not filling it all the way after the tranny cooler install, or my tranny may be on its way out, the fluid wasnt as sweet smelling as when i had checked it before, so that worries me too! Any insight to this would be great!

Im just wondering if a cable adjustment would fix this, because there was a delay, then i jammed REALLY hard into gear. I didnt apply any gas on that 2nd occasion, it felt ass if my tranny fell out!

The cable seems to control some of the valve body's operation... so if it was out of adjustment, I can see the tranny being slow to act. Once you see what a valve body looks like and how it actually works (tons of little spring-loaded pistons and check balls in a myriad of little passages), you'll agree that all it can take is for one of those items to be slightly not in the right place and flow will be restricted to that fluid circuit.

Definately the shifter cable adjustment. I had the same issues two weeks into ownership. It will eventually effect the tranny not finding OD until the car is stopped, put into park, and put back into gear. Frustrating, but an easy warranty fix.
