As stated in the subject line, "What is the part # for the plastic cover over our rear license plate lamp?" :confused:

I cannot seem to find the part number on the fordparts.com website! :(

I do not have a picture, but it is a small rectangular plastic cover with a slight "oval guard" that I suppose directs the lamp on the license plate and not on any drivers behind you. With the trunk lid open it has two small bolts that secure it above the rear license plate.
Any assistance would be appreciated, thanks in advance! :beer:

Don't have the part number but it's called a tail panel. Ford no longer stocks them. Most junkyards around me won't sell them separately from the trunk lid.

No, it's not the whole rear fascia panel..i don't know what it is called either but it where the license plate bulb is housed. Here is a picture off google search, it's an ebay pic from tascaparts.com not sure how recent..but says 2014..crown vic will be same part

Problem is most in the bone yards are burned from the bulb , or all but melted.

As for an LED upgrade, I don't have any issue w/ the clarity of the lens, I just cracked the small oval protrusion and it's annoying the h*ll out of me! :mad:

For future reference for anyone else reading this thread, Ford calls it a "License Lamp," and the official part # is: F8AZ-13550-AA. :)
