A couple months back, I picked a C6 rear end out of an '07 junkyard P71. For those that don't know, C6/3L55 was the code for a 3.55, trac-lok, 31 spline axle rear end. Jackpot :banana2:

There are a few things I don't know how to take off. First are the brake dust shields (they might be called something else?) They're held on be 4, greezy, rusty, old bolts on each side that I am paranoid about messing up the heads on. Fabulous B'laster & WD-40 will only get you so far! Thoughts?

Next are the ABS sensors. When I pulled it from the junkyard, I didn't know how to remove them, so I just cut them, but did leave enough of a lead to splice them onto my existing harness if needed. It feels like it's held in by a rubber grommet, but it's TIGHT!

Finally is the parking brake cable. I cut that real far up when I pulled the rear end, but again don't know how to integrate it onto my car.

Thanks in advance for whatever insight can be offered up!

Axles have to come out to remove those. Why bother???

ABS sensors are just held in with 10mm bolts, they are tight, it takes some effort to get them out, you cannot splice those wires.

Remove the calipers, remove the rotors, you can then remove the parking brake cables.
