I was wondering has anyone on here ever changed out their door hinges on their marauder because my bottom door hinge as went bad and is off track and I have some extra ones and I was going to try to change them myself. So would you'll think that would be a difficult job?

Replacing the hinge is easy............. aligning the door afterwards is the hard part.

I have done TWO! It's easy to do and the top one is the one that wears out. I was going to show it step by step with photos here this week.

New pins are on my workbench for a springtime project. Buy the good ones, not the junk on ebay.

Well my new hinge arrived and this was my third Panther hinge replacement but the first time on my Marauder. I will save you all the steps that lead up to the installation but having help with the door is optional. I suggest it. as the jack is lowered to facilitate hinge removal, the top heavy door can be difficult to handle.

BADMERC: your images and instructions are excellent- Thank You!
I just replaced both the top and bottom on a high mileage Grand Marquis this morning. I found it helpful to remove the door to hinge bolts first to allow some door wiggle to get at the hinge to body bolts. Both hinges had wear, with the bushing falling out of the bottom one. I have lubed the hinges regularly in this car, but perhaps the lube was not penetrating well enough. I'm good for another 250k now.
