This year, my remote starter has not been getting the car started when its really really cold. The car will crank and crank but no fire.
Knowing this, I went to the car to start it on this -6 degree morning...and no start at all. It barely even tried to run.
I had a hunch what it was but hooked the Diablo scanner up to verify.
I knew to look at the ECT and IAT sensor readings.
Yep, IAT was reading 510 degrees farenheit.
Knowing how much I cranked the car, I decided to pull all plugs to let them dry out, as well as the cylinders.
I swapped in a different MAF, re-gapped the plugs and it started right up.
I'm still trying to get warm. :mad2:
