Hey I finally got to install my Hawk Slotted and Cross drilled rotors. And Hawk Carbon Ceramic brake pads front and rear. And the TCE Preformance front and rear braided brakes hoses. And all new brake fulid. I know most of you guys. Are into the big brake kits. But I can tell you right now. That my brakes are a major improvement. Over the stock system. I had slotted and cross drilled rotors. But they didn't work like these. All together my car stops 60% better then before. And I didn't have to go with big brakes. Also sprayed brake cleaner. On all 4 calipers. And brackets. Then sprayed them with primer. And then painted them. With VHT Gloss Black Caliper paint. Didn't paint them in Red. Because there not Brembos. Lol if anyone is thinking about doing there brakes. I would recommend these Hawk Preformance slotted and cross drilled rotors. Hawk Carbon Ceramic brake pads and the TCE Preformance Front and rear braided brakes hoses. Car will stop 60% better. Also not here to start a pissing match. With anybody about bigger brakes vs this set up. Thank you and have a great weekend.

Great job. Any improvement is a big improvement. Thanks for sharing and for posting pics. I bought one of these kits a long while back... Right as the bid brake kit discussion thread started, And the little heavy box is still in my office storage (Shame on me).
Good for you for moving forward and making improvements!
Looks great! And I too like the black or silver calipers.

ab9sgken I got the rotors and pads. From Auto Parts Warehouse.com. The Hawk rotors For $460. And the Hawk Carbon Ceramic brake pads For $140. And the TCE Preformance Front and rear braided brakes hoses For $169. Or $166 shipped. But there are here on the Mercury Marauder net. I know it was not cheap by far. But I didn't have to modify anything. Or change calipers. And on and on. The brake hoses make a difference themselves. But the Hawk parts make a huge difference too. I say 60% better stopping power. Over my other slotted and cross drilled rotors and pads I had before.

1 Marauder you pay for what you get. Hawk Preformance is a Preformance grade A parts manufacturer. So yea there not cheap. But they make a great set up. To put into our cars. You know the saying. You buy cheap. You buy twice. But hey not trying to say there isn't anything better out. Or if cheaper kits work worse. But the main thing I like. Is that I didn't have to modify anything. Removed and bolted up. Bleeded the brakes. And Boom Car stop alot better.

Glad you are happy with your brakes. The biggest improvement was probably changing the fluid. It is one of the most overlooked fluids on any vehicle.

8UWITH6 you are probably right. I flushed it complete. And pumped them up one by one. The old fashion way. Lol

Thanks for this information...along with some other mods I have made to my 'garage queen' DTR, this is one I will definately look forward to doing.
Yours looks great and I know you are enjoying the improvement in braking power.
I did paint my calipers red though...and got red caliper covers from MGP for my '06 Impala SS...just like the red.

MMcatusflower there is nothing wrong with painting them in red. It is that I was thinking about painting mine. Same colors as yours and my car. Dark Toredor Red but I just picked up some primer and a VHT Gloss black Caliper spray piant. Because it was going to be a lot more work. And money. To use PPG paint then reducer and clear. So I just went Gloss black bud.
