Hello all, I have a lowered 03 mm about 1 inch. Can you still put a deeper transmission pan without hitting everything on the ground or put in a bigger cooler? Brands or model? or?
Thanks
Jeff

I have a 03 Mach1 I wanted to put a deep pan on. Kinda worried about the road clearance too. I'll be watching this thread for info.

It will probably work OK Jeff but other than a drain plug the deeper pan offers nothing more than 2 more quarts of fluid!!
Trans temps will be unchanged other than it will take a little longer to heat the extra fluid!!:shake:
Also, the magnet from the OEM pan will have to be glued down in the aluminum pan unless ya want it loose in there.......I JB welded a large steel washer in mine and so far it's still attached!!
Install a plug in your stock pan and spend your $$$'s elsewhere!!

I second that, you would benefit more from an extra cooler placed after you stock cooler and just drill a hole and place a drain plug in your stock pan.

Do both... deeper pan and extra cooler.

B & M pan, 40,000 GVW Frozenboost cooler made my trans fluid never heat up to normal operating temps. So I installed this. Yes I have a trans temp gauge, which would barely nudge off 100f before I installed this.
Just a suggestion. Works exactly as advertised, at least according to my temp gauge. 100% necessary? Probably not.

That's a great trans thermostat, if your running that one i hope you deleted the oem trans thermostat, no need to run two thermostats.

I didn't know there was one. If there was, it wasn't doing its job, at least according to my trans temp gauge.

With all the transmission issues I had in the past, I want the fluid to get to it's normal operating temperature, and get there quickly, especially in the cold climate we have here. Not necessary in tropical climates like yours.

Yeah it's built into the stock trans/power steering cooler.

I think this is it. I guess I just remove the slotted cap on the assembly and pop it out? Seriously, it must be stuck open, because the transmission refused to heat up before I installed the Improved Racing one.

How would you remove it?
I just deleted the oem trans cooler , I have a derale cooler with built-in fan and shroud, and the same thermostat you have.
The stock cooler is in between the radiator, and ac condenser, you can just bypass it , and go directly to your aftermarket cooler if you dont want to bother with removing it.

Why not remove it to get rid of useless restriction to your condenser and radiator?
Not to mention weight reduction for racing???

I removed mines , but some members keep it to retain the use of the trans thermostat, im not a fan of running two coolers , i just got one big azz cooler with a fan , and a much better aftermarket trans thermostat to do the job.

Hmmm. I was advised to run my cooler in line with the oem one. Everything seems to be operating as desired, again according to my gauge.
When I replaced my radiator for good measure when I did my Eaton, I didn't take a close look at the trans cooler. See my revised post above.
Thanks for the advice.

Roger that, just wasn't sure if that was your set up or just advice, but makes sense because not everyone is mechanically inclined to remove.
Always remember in the government you can never remove just add too.

It's also possible my trans guy removed the stock tstat when he saw my Improved Racing stat. The last guy I used for trans work is really sharp.

In the picture I posted, see the cylinder with the white slotted cap? Is that where the stat is?

I didn't realize that there was an inline tstat either. I'm new to the marauders and domestic cars all together. I just purchased my marauder with an eaton swap in May of last year and still trying to learn about them and fix all the F@#K ups on it.

It may very well be stuck open, I've never attempted to open one up , mines is laying on the work bench .

If you removed it, what about the power steering cooling?
