CD's only want to play from CD changer. I have purchased and used the CD cleaner with a brush. When you use it, it plays a recording. It worked fine on slot number one in the magazine. When I put my CD's back in it, slot number one didn't want to work, slot 3 worked and only that one even when all 6 were filled.

The CD changer will work with random discs and random slots. It's not like only number one or number three work. Also, it's not like only the same CDs work and the same do not. So, it's no issue with my discs.

Is there a special way to clean this? I really don't feel like replacing this if there is something I am missing.

Again, it works, sometimes. Random CD's random slots and the cleaning didn't make a difference except the casual static is now gone.

Thanks in advance.

Are you both using "real" CD's, not CD's you created?

50/50 in CD changer

Burned ones work fine in dash cd player

Yes. The playabiltiy is no different from a burnt to an actual. Nearly all of my CDs are real, the burnt is from my Record player.

I am guessing my unit is bad.

Can it even be removed once it goes bad, I've searched and it seems like it can't even come out.

It's easy. 2 0r 3 bolts and a wire.

Nope. It's a structural part of the chassis. [emoji12]

Mine is also flaky. Sometimes I get CS error and other times it's fine. I have not figured out if it is related to slot number. Will check that in the spring.

I replaced it with a junkyard one for $20.

Done.
