Nice! I've always liked the '05-'09 and '13-'14 front end styling. Was never a fan of the '10-'12s for some reason.

I have a premium black with saddle leather 11 5.0 auto that I bought brand new

It's been a great car, zero issues in 5 years!

Are you planning on modding it?

I realize that and will be testing this for sure.....stay tuned!!:D

I like red on small, sporty cars but definitely not on bigger cars or trucks Rich!!:shake:

Thanks Guys......

I drove it about 25 miles today and this thing is pretty strong but I gotta get used to the 6 speed trans........I've had 4 speeds and 5 speeds but this will take some getting used to!!

Side note: Looks like someone backed into something as the repair ain't great......just the plastic cover and an OEM FORD cover painted is only $655.00 shipped....not sure I'll do anything soon 'cause it's hardly noticeable but wouldn't it be nice if Marauder bumper covers were that inexpensive??

Stay tuned......more to come!!:burnout:

I'll fill you in. Click 6th once you hit 90 for stupid low RPM cruising. This is how I got my last ticket going through Ohio at 90.. Just cruising along talking quietly to my wife on a open highway at around 2,200 RPM's. Oops.

Yes Bob.....I noticed at 70 MPH the RPM's in 6th were about 1700!!!

Plus the speedometer goes to 160 MPH putting 60 MPH way left of center......like I said it will take some getting used to!!

So far it's very nice but.....TOO QUIET!!:shake:

If you want loud, Corsa.

I went with roush axle backs ( because I wanted quad tips) but they have a nice aggressive sound.

No thanks on the Corsas and what about "Drone" with the Roush setup??

I put GT500 mufflers in mine , car has cat less x pipe

It's quiet at idle, I can leave my house early in the morning and not wake the neighbors. At wot it's frickin loud!

Being quiet at low rpm has gotten me out of a few tickets, they definitely heard a loud car, but I was just putting along nice and quiet

Absolutely no drone on my setup, which they say sounds the same as the single tip vs quad tip. Nice and deep idle and low revs, but has just a bit of rasp at WOT without being too obnoxious IMO. It really wakes it up with an X pipe upgrade.

SHould sound like this, just the axleback

I thought the 4.6L was an impressive V8. Then they made the Coyote, and then the Voodoo version!

This little car is actually quite nice and pretty dang quick!!

Getting used to 6 forward gears takes a little while and honestly I think 5 would be plenty at this power level....ya spend a lot of time "Stirrin' The Soup" but it's actually kind Fun!!:D Anyone know anything about this Getrag MT82 transmission??

First tank of fuel I averaged 19 MPG with half town and half country roads.....I believe it will get close to 30 MPG on the Interstate??

The RED takes some gettin' used to......I ain't quite there yet but it's growin' on me!!

Stay tuned!!:burnout:

I like it. I think sometimes it looks better than the new body style.

ChiTownMaraud3r

I have the revised getrag MT82. Apparently it is a german designed, chinese built trans which has had several minor revisions up until 2015. Probably doesn't get too cold over by you, but mine shifts horribly when cold out. the 2015 S550 mustangs also have a huge assist spring in the clutch pedal which has a non-linear pop out and also kills the engagement feel, causing sloppy shifts when driving slow. Not sure if your car has this symptom, but if so, the spring can be easily popped off.

Same here for now Bigslim but it took awhile for the body changes in 2014 to sink in.....they all look pretty FIERCE!!

Good to here from ya...stop by more often!!

Not cold enough here for hard shifts but the mushy clutch is not good and I agree that it's way too soft!!:argue:

Is this spring under the dash on the pedal itself??

I was somewhere that you're not required to hit every gear on the way up. Or down for that matter.

Mine was on the back upper portion of the pedal. Immediate improvement in weight, shifts, and clutch feel but might be a 2015+ thing to try to make the pedal even lighter.

I daily my car when it's nice out 44 miles to work in sometimes unbearable Chicago traffic, and it is not terrible as far as tiring your leg without the spring. Again, not sure if yours has it, but same tranny and motor so..

After much research the 20014-2015 cars have a lighter spring from STEEDA that prevents clutch pedal over travel!!
http://www.steeda.com/steeda-s550-mustang-clutch-spring-assist-35-lb-in-15-16-all-555-7022/

FORD will replace the 2011-2014 pedals with a GT500 set if ya complain enough....not that big of a deal to me right now!!:shake:

I doubt any wear is caused by removing the stock spring...but thanks for posting this. Might be cheap insurance for $10.

I wasn't aware there was differences in the pedal set ups? I used the brake return spring IIRC on my clutch pedal so I should have an extra clutch pedal spring if someone wants it.

My pedals came from a 2012 GT500, before I used what I needed of course.

The 2011-2014 cars have a small compression spring arrangement and while the 2015-2016 cars have the same arrangement they have different size components.....at least Steeda makes a replacement for the 2015-2016 cars!!

Mine works OK and I don't plane on drag racing so I guess I'll just get used to it!!

Now back to the mushy shifter!!:burnout:

Marauderjack

Well....I replaced the mushy OEM shifter apparatus with a very well designed one from MGW and......WOW.....it shifts like it's supposed too!!:bows::beer::burnout: Very positive and almost impossible to miss the "2-3" shift!!

See here if interested: https://www.mgwshifters.com/shifters/mustangs/79

This little car is damn quick from the factory....if ya can find the gears!! 420 crank shaft HP in a 3200# car is kinda "Sporty"...lotsa fun!!:D
