I searched and didn't see one, so I started one. I know we are already in season 7, but anyone out there watch the Walking Dead? I have been watching this show from the start. It's my favorite show. Last night's episode was a very good show. The group dealt with a large heard, and are about to face a new, even bigger threat, Negan.
I was bumbed that Rick lost his new girlfriend. I'm a romantic "John Wayne gets the girl" happy ending kinda guy. However, I've kinda been waiting for him and Michone to hook up since him and Carl was with her alone for a while that time when the group was sent running into the wind in different directions.
I started getting nervous right before the road crew came back. Looked like Maggie was gonna have a front row seat to Glenn getting eaten alive. I like the hope that young couple represents. (again with the happy ending)
By the way, I notice all the weapons mistakes the directors make too, but it's a TV show. I've noticed on some other forums that so many people wine about every little thing they see that is wrong with how the group handles firearms. I watch it for the drama of the group and their struggles to get by. Good and bad decisions, good and bad luck... it's entertainment. Every time I see someone complaining about them shooting without a rear sight, I agree, but it's not that big of a deal for me. If it were a documentary, I would want more accuracy.
For instance: I've seen RPGs go off in person. They are a shaped charge warhead. Last night a single RPG round took out an ambush party. Good chance all the bad guy bikers would not have been killed in the one blast. However, they all would probably have shrapnel wounds, (Sasha and Abraham too) and the concussion would have put then in a daze long enough to deal with. But it doesn't bother me all that much... it's a TV show!
I also know a lot of people who won't watch the show, just because it has zombies in it. Who cares? I think of the walkers, as just an obstacle to overcome. It could have been any outbreak of disease that cause people to want to stay away from the infected. To me, the walkers are a minor threat, except for a large herd like they just faced. I see the real threat as other people along with the ceasing of all commerce. So many predators have popped up since the breakdown of modern society. Pretty sure this new bad guy Negan ain't gonna be happy about losing soldiers in his failed ambush. The group will be dealing with him well into the next season if they stay in Alexandria. Father Gabriel stepped up, as did Eugene and some other first timers. Should be very interesting if you don't try too hard to pick it apart... I'm wondering how they will show Carl recover from his wound.
IMHO this was one of the most intense episodes they have shown so far.

Supposedly in the comics, Michone and Rick do hook up. And Carl carries on looking like the Govenor.

I also enjoy the show! I do not try to nitpick stuff that happens. I am too busy trying to watch the human factor. I knew Ricks new girl was going to get taken out just because of her boy. Should have bound and gagged him. Nice to see Michone took care of the other menace too. I notice she did not take off his head. I guess we might get to see him later.:banana2:

She took off his head it might have prevented him from shooting Carl.

I am another fellow walking dead fan. Sadly I am stuck on season 6 episode 7, where the walkers get in the big wall.
Where else are you guys watching the rest of the series?

I have Directv and record them then watch them when I get the time. It is on CNN.

Pretty sure this is actually the 2nd half of season 6.
Most of the first half left me bored and wanting to do something else than focus on the screen. I won't say this was the greatest episode or anything but it was nice to finally see some of the stuff weve been dreaming would happen, ie the RPG takedown of the bike crew and everyone nutting up to kill all the walkers.
It might as well be any SHTF situation, but the zombies certainly add extra dynamics and drama.

Sunday's episode was ugh.
The walkers are apparently no longer a threat as a small group was able to wipe out one of the biggest groups of walkers on the show so far.
Also, what's up with that kid that got eaten alive? Did all the other characters go full retard all at once? Could they not have simply picked the kid up and carried him?

Great thread since I'm a fan from day one along with others in the household.
Gives me a chance to rant a bit and air a few pet peaves.
1 - Why is Daryl always riding around on some noisy motorcycle if noise attracts walkers while at the same time using a crossbow to quietly dispatch them?
2 - If Rick's group has so far proven to be proficient at killing walkers with accurate head shots since day one why would they give up there pistols to a knife wielder holding a hostage?
3 - Why is it that the group seems to always be so willing to put down their weapons so far away from where they sit or sleep.
And I should mention,
why would Carl with all of his experience so far lie for a kid that just drew down on him when (Rick asks what happened) only to have it happen again at the worst possible time/moment,
but I won't.
I could go on but you get the picture.
I know it's just a tv show but that doesn't stop those things from irking me..
Can't wait till the ungrateful couple that took Daryl's bike get what's coming to them although I was glad to see the noisy bike go.
Rant finished.
Still one of the best shows on tv.;)

The kid should have been blindfolded and/or made to go with father jackass.
I think the bigger threat is the roving bands of brigands, blackguards and marauders.**

I was wondering why Sasha, Daryl, and Abraham even stopped the truck! Here were armed bikers baricadding the road. Why not plow them down? As it was already stated, Daryl just had his bike stolen from him that same day. I know I wouldn't be as trusting! He knows there's another group out there! But hey, let's stop for them. They have to be alright since they have motorcycles!

I've always thought of the walkers as no big threat. They move too slow. As far as everybody freezing when that kid freaked out, they are wanting to keep him quiet. Best bet would have been to knock him out carry him.

As a TV lawyer might ask, "is it possible that the shrapnel from the first bike hit set off a chain reaction that detonated all the other bike's gasoline tanks?"
I didn't care much for the episode Too much time spent on zombie killing.
But, I've been hooked on the show for a long while.
(I think I'm also going to be hooked on HBO's Vinyl.)

I'm a fan as well and I though Sunday was probably one of the best episodes of the series. Them killing a whole heard doesn't bother me, walkers are not the biggest threat in TWD world, not even close.

Show was awesome as OP stated. They knew the kid was "strained" previously. Rick should'a KNOCKED HIM OUT and carried him like the sack of potatoes his character has always been. Didn't like the hottie Blond getting eaten though. But it was NICE to see jughead and the preacher come alive and step up! Again as OP posted... Great episode

Regarding S6B Episode 2 last night, I thought it was alright. **Spoiler Alert**
Unfortunately it seems they have gone back to episodes going really slow and not a lot happening. What I mean by that is that I can sum up the entire episode into: "Alexandria is being rebuilt, Alexandrian's care about each other, and Jesus is more badass than Rick and Daryl". I was really hoping that when we first met Jesus, when Rick asked him his name that he was going to say "Negan" but apparently Daryl, Abraham and Sasha never told Rick and the leaders about Negan's group, because I think Rick would have already been planning something for them. I mean really? Daryl knows that the Negan's group is huge, dangerous, and some group members are not content, but lets go ahead and not mention it at all just an episode after their thugs had guns pointed at three of Ricks people, which apparently is part of deciding who is ok and who is not as shown by Rick talking to Daryl about Jesus; "did he ever point a weapon at you?"
I mean I do appreciate the action but the 30+ minutes spent showing how badass Jesus is could have been achieved in less than 10 minutes, I would just like to see more concrete plot. Anyway, the plot twists at the end should make for an interesting episode 3.

I just wanted to point out that I appreciate the nod to Robert Kirkland's other work: Invincible. Carl and Enid were reading the comics out in the woods. Also in a previous episode last season there was a quick shot of Invincible figures sitting on a shelf in one of the houses in Alexandria.
Robert Kirkland, the creator and writer of The Walking Dead graphic novel and an executive producer of the show, is also the brains behind Invincible.
Just wanted to point that Easter egg out in case there are fans of the graphic novel series on here

I love the show, but i'm really getting tired of the stupid things that happen. Like in s6ep10, the van full of food going into the lake. I can't wrap my mind around the fact these guys have been alive for so long yet they can't get a van full of food back to town.

That whole debacle with the food truck pissed me off too. If I had been in their situation the minute I got that truck running I would be heading back to Alexandria. I wouldn't stop for almost anything that cargo was too valuable of a find.

I liked the van be stolen, that was a nice grift... But running in boots for 10 miles to catch up with it... Really? Further, no car guy would back a load that important in a large loaded truck, near a "ramp" to a body of water. Heck you don't even point a golf cart toward a pond...
Figured after the action packed season opener... The second would be slower.
Love the ending, "RIck, we need to talk."

Nice Easter egg catch, I saw them both, and wondered "why" but didn't have the history to understand them. Cool thanks for 'splainen them.
