man im so glad i did it. I picked it up friday morning and by friday evening out in the desert i got pulled over. lol the cop was an ******* at first (warranted yes) but i thought i was screwed. Had the wife in the car with me. I never saw him. He said he never got a chance to radar me as i flew by (thank God for all the twisties on that road) but he heard my tires break loose and exhaust wide open. After apologizing several times he just let me go lol I was kind of dissapointed i wanted a ticket for a souvinour. I wanted to ask him if i could take a pic of him having me pulled over but i didnt want to push my luck so i opted for the pic my wife tried to sneak. i wanted to push it to 160mph with video but cops were so thick out there i was too paranoid. I did get it to 145mph but tryin to film in one hand and drive in the other plus worrying about going to jail was too much lol

We came home Saturday morning.
Last year I got popped the night before my nitrous tune session running the 93 out. Officer said the same thing, his radar wasn't on. By the time it came online I was coasting down and he had me at 68 in a 55, still wrote the ticket. I got lucky and remembered I used to coach little league with a guy in the same Dept.
For the record I usually just snap a pic through the rear view mirror :D
I chalk those experiences up to better to be lucky than good.
Next time you go drive to Mt Charleston :beatnik:

You only live once!
I tried to rent a Charger R/T before I bought one - nowhere around me rents exotics/muscle cars.
I love what you did

That's the same car I drove a couple years ago. It was all black back then though lol. I suspect some damage was done at some point and they resprayed. Definitely worth it.

Not cheap, but for a once in a lifetime chance I'd do it. Amazing that there is no deposit. I'd sleep in the thing for a night... or just cruise for 24 hrs.

that was the deciding factor going with this company. some places wanted anywhere from $5000-$10000 deposit and limited miles... Royalty Exotic Car REntals is who i chose. No brainer with unlimited miles and no deposit. I put on 262 miles on the car in a day. And thats with a lot of city driving and traffic. I drove the piss out of it lol

it was so easy doing business with them! I put a deposit on the car to secure it for the next day. The driver picked me up at 9:30 in the AM i got to the business and they had my car waiting for me outside. Signed a couple of papers paid them and off i went.

How awesome! I Have always wanted to do this!
People pay to drive them on the track, and that sounds fun... But I like to hit the open road like you did... Way to go!

i almost decided to drive them on a track but for around $500-$700 for just a few laps i figured for double that i could have the car for 24 hours and pretend its mine going whereever the heck i wanted to instead of only actually getting a few minutes of ass time at the track. I def. made the right choice

YUP...
The track is cool, but far too short and too contained.
I would have done what you did, and then headed to the grand canyon... And never came back!

That's awesome glad You had a good time.
Years ago I rented a Dodge Viper for 24 hours for $500 with unlimited miles. Took it out to the Hoover dam and back, got it up to 140 Mph 😀
Only thing the business did was call my insurance to verify I had enough coverage and they measured the tread depth of each tire.

Does renting one of these come with free hotel service? The hotel with bars in every room? :D

A few years ago, My wife and I went to Vegas, rented a Shelby Mustang and drove everywhere. When we did the trip from Vegas to the Grand Canyon. After you cross the Hoover Dam and then drive on (I-40). The road has no speed limit. I was doing 125 and cars were passing me!
We did the trip (389 miles) in 3 & 15 minutes, (1 tank of gas).

That is amazing!
The only time I ever went to Las Vegas I had an Explorer but I can't really complain because I was there for work and the fact that the company granted me an extra day there to see stuff was great so I also did as much driving to see as as much as I could on that day. The next day I drove over to Los Angeles to visit another customer, unfortunately no extra days there but they always quit early so I still had time to see stuff in the evening. On the way back I stopped by in Chicago for a third customer but had no time to see anything there, still one of the greatest trips I did.
I don't work for that company anymore, the work was crap and the pay sucked but I sure do miss those trips that they made us do!
