This might be a stupid question, but I'm curious...

Does anyone know what the final production number will be once they stop making the Marauder next month? Is there a certian number that would make this car a collectors item? (not that it isn't already IMO)

any info would be greatly appreciated.

Mat,
Here is a pull from a previous thread by Blue03 on the 2003 Production Numbers. I don't think the final 2004 numbers have been published or available. Maybe StapRap can give us an idea. Understand that 15 June is the last day of Marauder production.

Well I followed SergntMac's suggestion (11-21-03) and called STAP to see if I could learn the numbers by color. After a voice mail and email the results are...

Blue - 328
Silver Birch - 417
BLack - 7094

That totals 7839 MM's for 2003 according to STAP.

Maybe we ought to make it 327 Blues due to that crispy critter that is showing up on ebay! It looks more like a parts car these days!

Cheers All

Numbers alone don't make for a collectors item. There has got to be a demand as well. And, from what I read here in the MM Net .... ain't many owners willing to part with their Marauder.

When you think of Marauder, black naturally comes to mind. I think that black will be the color to have as long as it is kept well and retains a good finish.

My origional order was for black with the silver interior, but I could not take delivery in New Orleans. After returning home to CA I bought black with the charcoal interior. I am quite happy with it and I do think that black is the definitive color for MM's. The paint on the blue ones have generally been even worse than the blacks so far from what I have heard owners saying.

The other colors look nice too and I assume that the silver would be the easiest color to maintain. Silver is one of the most difficult colors to see from a safety standpoint however.

Best Regards,

David
