View Full Version : What other vehicle would you sell or trade your Marauder for?

Mebot

Wishful thinking, but just curious..

And I changed the title of the thread to say what "other vehicle" you would trade for VS anything else because there's a lot of intangible items folks would want besides a Marauder (health, money, job, support, kids, grandkids, etc..)

So if there was another vehicle on the road, past or present, muscle car or exotic, American or Other that you would hands down love to have and would be willing to trade or sell your Marauder for, what would it be?

My first car in High School was a 1969 Mustang Sportsroof. If I came across that car today I'd trade the Marauder for it. But then I'd start looking for another Marauder!

Pro Touring El Camino or Wagon with big LS power, lowered, big brakes etc. Some day when Maraudering is time for a change I'll see what is out there. Most likely in the 67-70 years

I really liked the Scion Xwhatever and it's awesome dash layout.....

but it was a little too cramped for me:

So I decided to go with another 'snug' fit vehicle with a tad more HP:

AND, I kept my Marauder!

The list is too long to narrow down. I get bored with cars after about 2 years usually. I am pleased to say that the Buick, and now the Marauder have broken that streak.

If I had to replace the Marauder and funds don't allow for the above, and cannot find a decent Marauder for replacement, then a new hemi chrysler 300S with mods would probably suffice..

Cadillac CTS Vsport. I love the ride, handling, stiff chassis, lightweight but powerful twin turbo V6, 8-speed automatic, e-diff, magnaride and electronic driver aids. 420HP stock, 500HP with just a tune. Punching the throttle exiting a corner you can fell the e-diff and electronic throttle tapping you in the back as it accelerates at the limit of grip as the tires slip a 1/4 rotation and grab again.

The car is so good it makes you think you're a better driver than you are. Caution is advised. :)

LOL, yeah, it is an awesome driving machine for those who care about that above all else.

If your ipod integration and Spotify streaming of MP3-grade music are key considerations perhaps a Scion or Honda with the latest bluetoothery and Android Car should be your Marauder replacement :D

Ok, thanks for that info, what got me was 66/67, since the Gone in 60 sec. car was based on the 67/68 body, and had nothing to do with 66 models. I thought maybe there was another Gone movie out there I've never heard about. Seems like a lot of people like that car. But I still think a real 67 Shelby, especially one with inboard headlights looks much better than the movie car. I have tried and tried, but I just can't get past that hood.

As far as what other car I would have besides a Marauder:

A 69 Shelby convertible, loaded! not the fastest, most valuable or most popular, but I've always had a soft spot for them.

And for performance and value, it's hard to beat a 70/71 Hemi Cuda convertible, I'll take one of those.

I was going to trade my 04 Mercury Marauder. For a 2014 Cadillac CTS-V wagon. Automatic with 14k mileage. But they want $56k for it. And my car is clean low miles. And I own it. No payments I mean. So I didn't want to get a car note. So I didn't even both asking how much. They would of gave me. Had I try to trade my car in. So I am staying with mine. And going to Supercharger it and beef up the trans. Suspension and rearend.

Indeed, this beast sports a 5.4 Barra V8 paired with a 5 speed manual tranmission with a 405 hp output. Australian muscle has always been my favourite.

One of the main reasons I want it, America didn't build any decent manual V8 sedans and I simply don't like European cars so Australia it is!

I'd love to do a manual swap on my Marauder but it is too unique over here so I don't plan to modify it much, unique cars like that actually have a higher resale value in stock form.
