I recently picked up a complete 03' Cobra engine complete with engine harness to install in an 03' Marauder. For those that have done this or have knowledge in regards to this, I'm assuming that I should use the Marauder harness and mod it as necessary. What needs to be done for this to work?

Thanks in advance for the responses.

IAT2, move battery, add heat exchanger behind grill.. It's a good job.. 8 bolt flexplate.. There's an eaton swap thread that covers a lot of what you're going to have to do, it's a sticky in the Shop section.

Stick with the Marauder harness.

Move the front cover from the Marauder motor to the Cobra motor.

Get in touch withGerry Irwin on here (lji something or another is his screen name) and get the alternator brackets and cross over tune from him - they are pricey but worth it considering the quality and custom nature of the parts.

Do not use the cobra front dress and accessories, you will regret it!

I have the cobra front dress on my car it was on the car when I purchased it. I don't regret it but it does suck sometimes.

Starting to remove the cobra harness. Can't find a provision for the map sensor on the supercharger in the Marauder harness. Am I missing something or does this have to be added?

MAP / EGR will become IAT2, it's in the wiring section on the Eaton swap link I posted above.. You should read it

You'll have to get that pigtail from the Cobra harness and adapt it to the Marauder IAT sensor plug. The Cobra MAP and IAT sensor is a combined unit.

Okay I finally figured out the wiring for the map/iat2. My next question is regarding the electronic part of the boost bypass valve. Can I eliminate all of this stuff and just run the actuator via vacuum. I will be deleting the EGR system if that helps any. I also have a plug on each side of the harness that I have no idea where it gets connected. It's shown a nearest to the right of the pic I've attached for reference to everything mentioned in this paragraph. The plug in question is a round plug with two terminals in it.

Also what do I do with the Maruader knock sensor. Do I need to mount it under the intake like it was on the MM engine?

I appreciate you guys bearing with me as I'm new to this 4.6 thing and I didn't remove the original MM engine from the car myself.

Again thanks in advance for the responses.

Eliminate all that garbage, run the bypass valve by vacuum only. I just did all this to my 03 last month if you need some pics.

Pics would help, that way I can check and make sure mine is right. Because I purchased mine already swapped and I'm going through trying to fix all the **** ups.

You can mount the knock sensor on the back of the head.

The connector in question is for the radio interference device that goes to a stud on the cam covers.

Update: I completed most of the wiring. Just wondering what to do with the remaining four wires in the EGR plug since i'm going EGR delete for this build?

Just turn the EGR off in the tune.

Got it. I cut the connector off and insulated the ends of the wires and put them in the new loom. Is there a preferred tuner that everyone uses? i inquired with one and he was unwilling to turn off the EGR in the tune.

Not sure what you're shaking your head at? I understood that the EGR needed to be turned off in the tune. I was just looking for input for someone who was willing to do it, since the one company I spoke to wouldn't.

I moved the Marauder timing cover over to the Cobra engine. One of the holes in the timing cover near the water pump doesn't have a matching hole in the block to put a bolt in. The cobra engine has the hole higher up. Do you guys just leave this bolt out?

Ok. Moving right along. Progress pic below. My next question is the intercooler coolant circulating pump wiring. Is this a stand alone set up or does it get wiring into the engine harness.

Thanks again.

Forgive my ignorance but does it run continuously or does it activated via a temp sensor?

Getting ready to finish this thing up. I have a cobra MAF sensor and pigtail to install. Can't find the wiring info needed to join the cobra pigtail to the remaining 4 wires in the MM MAF pigtail. Is there a pinout showing which wires go where?

It's the same order from 2-5. 1&6 go off to the IAT2
