My band got a show during south by south west in Texas!!! Biggest convention and music fest in the world.
I'll be driving from Chicago to Austin and back. I'll be passing though Memphis, Little Rock and Dallas. If you want to meet up for a bite or coffee let me know!
Not required, but if you want to help us along the way message me.
This is huge and the best email I ever got.
Hard work pays off.

We are playing Burnside’s Tavern 413 E. 6th street between Neches and Trinity.
March 16th at 7pm, Austin, TX.
My band is called Private Instigators.
WOOOOO HOOOOO!!!!
That's my old stomping grounds in the 60's and 70's. Wouldn't recognize the area any more.
Have a great gig or whatever you call it now-a-days.
Cheers,
J-MAN

What are the mechanisms for donations and are you a tax exempt entity?

Me to. Some people live on the edge and when they fall, they blame everyone else.

I think that I may have a solution to continuing money problems. :thinker: Have you ever thought about converting to a religion that not only allows but promotes multiple wife's? Clearly with only one wife she can only work two maybe three jobs to support your musical career, but with two or more bringing in $ you would be able to relax, focus on your career and not have to come on here to rattle your tin cup for donations. No need to thank me. :D

Yea I saw that the other day.
My singer has a place for us to stay, but I will likely live in my van on the way up and down.
Feel free to stop by for the show. I can put you on the guest list if we have one so you can get in for free. Take my drink tickets if you wish.
Turns out this is bigger than I thought. Our manager got us another show at noon the same day for Texas Fest I believe. A scout for MTV will be there. The show case I set up has people from Warped Tour, booking agencies, music licensing and even the producer from Megan Trainer. People see money in what we are doing.
This will be the most important day of my life.

The potus is going to be there, it must be an important event as he is skipping the funeral of Nancy Reagan to be there. Hard to believe how he can sink ever lower.

Believe me, I'm the only one in the business that dislikes the guy. It'll be a lot of fun trying to keep my mouth shut around thousands of people.
Not to mention some really bad stuff recently happened and I don't wanna leave town. Nothing like getting a call saying "We need to think about where to put your father for hospice." Right before I leave town. :bigcry:

Drive is no longer happening. I stayed in town a few extra days to say good bye to my dad. I hop on a plane in a few hours. :depress:

Too bad. Good feeling to have. Hopefully your dad is in a better place. Yes, it does exist.
What kind of tunes do you guys play? Oldies from the 70s right?
