With the limited number of OEM front and rear bumpers for our cars, is anyone using dash cams? Especially for the rear? Has anyone experienced using a dash cam in the rear resulting in people tailgating our cars less?
Perhaps as a deterrent to other drivers getting closer to our vehicles since they know they are on camera and being filmed?

Best protection I know of for tailgaters is a big trailer hitch...

Lol, that may be true. But I don't have one on the MM and with dashcams going for as little as $50.00, I thought it may be a nice deterrent for drivers who like to get too close. Where I live, people really like to get close during every day driving conditions for some insane reason.

I got the 2 in 1 dash cam, which does front and rear @ same time.

What brand did you get? Does it deter tailgating at all? Or do other drivers not notice it?

With the cameras being so small they are practically unnoticeable especially if viewed from a distance. I don't see how that would be a deterant to tailgaters.
Maybe a big vinyl sign on the rear window stating "Tailgaters Are Being Filmed".
