The car junky in neighborhood has done it again. He has had in the past four years....
Lotus Espirit Twin turbo V8
Lexus SC430, the convertible
Corvette ZO6
Viper
and now...
Dodge SRT10 pickup. Ouch! I quietly putt past his house so he won't come out and smoke me. Now when I am on the the ZRX it is a different story! :)

It wouldn't be any worry while you're driving your Marauder either if it was S/Ced.

Nice neighborhood.Well I have been asking Rob since he joined this site about his neighborhood....(no reply) and from the coordinates he provides, I come up with he is either in the barren region of Egypt, or several hundred miles off the western coast of Morrocco (the 'disputed' area of the Sahara dessert) watching seaguls and dodging waves.:P
Those coordinates are fubar!

Yeah, maybe he's that sheik that Jerry Barnes said that he sold two Trilogy kits to, and he just isn't telling us(???)

Yeah, but the unfortunate thing is that there is no replacement for displacement. When you are running 10 cylinders with 8.3 litres of displacement, it is just insane what the possibilities are if you supercharge that thing. I wonder what kind of gas mileage those things get..............

He probably carries extra gas cans in the bed of the truck. He is not light on the throttle.

I believe we're talking about the SRT-10 truck. Correct? And that thing isnt even as fast as the 5.4L Lightning trucks. According to what I've read, it's good for high 13's in the quarter, and w/drag radials, our Marauder are good for high 12's IF they're Supercharged. That SRT-10 truck is so much heavier than our cars are. I mean, 500, or 525HP? Okay, but that's taken at the crank, not at the rear wheels. So that's like about 430-450HP at the rear wheels, and that extra 30-50HP that it's making over and above what most of our S/Ced Marauders are, would be offset by the 800-1,000 LBS that the SRT-10 truck also has over our cars.
My brother has a Dodge Hemi truck, and that thing weighs 5600LBS!! I know that the SRT-10 is lighter than the Hemi truck, but it can't be anymore than 600-800LBS lighter.

Ohio will fool you, I've never lived anywhere where it was so cheap to live. My house here in Cinci would be several million if it were popped down where I lived last in Easton, CT... and it is about 30% less than where I lived in Brighton, Michigan.
you just can't beat this, good employment in cincinnati, and low low cost of living... leaves plenty of dough for the car enthusiast

You say, "had"....
He must be leasing them and paying out the ying yang. :bigcry: He must be one of those types that wants everybody to think he really has something when he really doesn't have "squat". :alone: :nono:
He's probably broke as hell too....

I would be a little lighter on that guy, since I don't think it's fair to judge someone who we have never seen, or talked with. We can have our assumptions, but we can also never come up with assumptions that may paint a negative picture of someone who may be a very good person. Unless someone's actions are affecting me negatively, I try to leave them alone and not judge what they do. Most of us here are car junky's in a way, and i'm pretty sure most of us have loved ones that will testify that we all spend way too much money on our "hobby." :) So, if this guy isn't light on the throttle, does that mean I can find his house by looking for the one with all of the burnouts in front of it?
BTW, Rob, how did your son do on the Cincinnatus scholarship competition that you attended down here at the University of Cincinnati?

Never use automotive oil on motorcycle. If you like Mobil brand and want go syntetic you should use MX4T.

1st: Gonzo, the guy buys the cars. I know the dealer.
2nd: Junehhan, he did ok. He got the $2,500 per year for competing. We will be back down there on June 5th for more testing, etc...
3rd: T90-K, I have always used auto Mobil1 after break-in. I have logged 47,000+ miles on two bikes with not a single problem. Clutch and engine internals were like new.

Rob, that wonderful that he won something. With tuition so outrageous, it will definately help. I hope he decides to enroll at the University of Cincinnati :)
