Help, my airbag light came on today. The SCT doesnt pick up any codes for this. I did find that the light does a pattern, it first blinks 2, then it pauses, blinks twice, then pauses again, this happens 2 more times, then it stays on. I check the manual for help but there is no info for this, does anyone have any ideas what it could be? Any info would be great, because im taking my car to virginia next weekend, and i need the car running right!!
Thanks,
frank

I had the same thing on my '99--the code indicates the component malfunctioning--take your car to the dealer---he has the codes--mine was 2-3 I believe and it was a part of the self-test that was malfunctioning. Should be quick and simple--keep us posted

The flashes indicate a code 22. Code 22 is "Driver Seat Side Air Bag Circuit Fault". Looks like a trip to the dealer. Let us know how it went.

thanks for the quick response carfixer, since im so figity about my marauder, i just went to take a peek at my drivers seat, and i found a unconnected connector!!!! It wasnt the yellow harness, it was a 2 pin gray harness. I suspect that when i had the drivers seat cushion replaced, they didnt snap the connector back in. Upon further inspection, i found that the "locking" mechanism of the clip was broken off, i guess who ever "fixed" the seat broke the clip. So i have it settled in right now with electrical tape to hold it together, and i will call my local dealer tomorrow to see when they can replace the connector.
Thanks again carfixer!!!

That connector may have come apart if you have been adjusting the seat position. Last summer on my MM the airbag light came on and after troubleshooting the dealer service dept said there was a tsb on re-routing the wiring under the seat. The initial routing allowed the seat to pull on the wires as you moved it forward or back (I forgot which direction) and could ultimately separate the connector. This may have been the cause for your connector locking clip to be broken. I also have an '03 300A model.
