I bought two "4.6" badges from Downs Ford in NJ. My first impression was "ugh, plastic" but I am warming to them. The question -- and this poll -- it so see where they should go.
1) on the trunk, like NBCShooter did with his 5.4 badge
2) on the fenders, like 5.0 Mustangs
4) in the trash can, becaue this a dumb idea
I reserve the right to ignore the results of the poll.

If you like them, and have 2, I'll vote for fenders. Scotch tape them in various places to help decide where you like them best. I did the V8 badges from this years Explorer, mostly because they look like the 50's version, and had my wife decide where they looked best. (Behind the wheel on top of the trim strip won out.)

Jeez, these plastic 4.6 badges, which I thought were outrageous at $12 each, are $19 each at Sean Hyland Motorsports.<!--StartFragment -->
After getting the 4.6 badges, which are identical to Shooters, except for the numbers, I found two other sources for 4.6 emblems. One is a place that makes them out of billit aluminum (nice) and the other has a 4.6 badge also out of plastic, but a somewhat different design (more contemporary). Also, there's another source of a silver vinyl decal that says "4.6L V8"
I've ordered these, too. So, looks like I'll be giving away whatever I don't use.
Here's what they look like:

Since you have a pair, and if you have nothing else on the fenders behind the font wheels, I suggest there. Otherwise, on the trunk!

. . . on the trunk, like NBCShooter did with his 5.4 badge
Excuse the cross-post . . . just wanted to make this clear! I'm pasting what I said in the "5.4" thread again here: "HA! I finally pulled the "5.4" badge from my rear and had the rear panel repainted. I ordered the "5.4" and "Police Interceptor" badges for a few bucks from a mail-order Mustang place. That "5.4" badge fooled EVERYONE. Guys that knew what kind of car I had always had these very puzzled looks on their faces. It was fun for a while. But now, my car is void of ALL badging, holes, chrome trim, etc.--I'm really going for that "F-117 stealth fighter" look now." --NBC Shooter
Donny--I'll take whatever badges you don't use if you really don't want them after! As for your placement, I'm sorta leaning toward the twin fender approach.

IF I were to do this, that would be my approach.

Latemodel Restoration Supply has "4.6 High Performance" and "4.6 Supercharged" in their catalog. That would be a nice step up, too. Some '00 Crown Victorias have a "Special Edition" badge on the right rear of the trunk (below Shooter's 5.4 emblem). That emblem is available through Ford.
Just my .02 and then some.

Another idea . . . instead of calling attention to our "4.6" displacement, you may also consider a "V8 DOHC" badge.

I voted trunk lid. For the fenders I'd either put the Marauder badges that Logan sells OR the snake badges found on the Cobra.:banana2:
I'm planning on getting rid of the "Grand Marquis LS" and "Mercury" lables on my car. I was also thinking of a Crown Vic rear end, I've looked at all the bolts that hold everything in place, same size and all, just my tail lamps are smoothed off and my reverse lights are straight instead of curved in, and I have that UGLY reflective stuff.

I went with the majority and put them on the fenders. Check out the gallery for photos.

I admit, that is very nice. As well as the stickers. I don't think ricers came up with decals...dragsters did eh?

O K, you folks teased me about my hood ornament --well, get ready to throw up---here's what the rest of the Marauder looks like--look and weep  I just wanted people to know the Marauder existed and it was something unique--see you at Indy   Maury

For me, Juan Motine said it more than half a century ago in old Mexico.
"Badges? We don't need no stinking badges!"
Most of the boys down here in Bradenton seem to think it's a Grand Marquis with some really nice wheels that just pulled up next to them at the light. After I back off the throttle at 50 (45 mph zone) and wait ten or so seconds they come flying around me goin 75 with this scowl of determination on their face.
Sweet.

if they had hood scoops like the 69 mach 1's with the #s on the sides that would look tough

Sorry guys - super stealth mode for me...
The Impala was de-badged when special ordered, except for the trunk lid - which would look stupid naked..
Even the Cuda does not advertise what's inside....

I decided to go with a similar badge on my front fenders to what Kenny Brown has done on his P1 and P2 Crown vics. I believe the origin of this logo was a design by an Itailian wheel manufacturer. KB used it, and I doctored up my own version in Microsoft PhotoDraw then sent it to a custom vinyl sign place. This is the only badging on my car other than the damn "Crown Victoria LX" lettering on the back fascia/truck, and the Ford oval on the trunk and front grill.
Here they are...

I am really into a very stealth look. I am going to have the rear deck badge removed and filled and have a front badge-less grill made.
Just my thoughts. Everyone of us has his/her idea of what is cool. So if you are into badges good on ya.

Personally, I like the SVO emblem ('03/04 Cobra) on the rear panel to the left of the license plate. It represents in my mind what the MM should have been. An SVT car, but with the s/c. The SVO emblem says this is a special performance car in all respects.

The logo is from Antera Wheels. I saw these wheels at Butler Tire.

DonI got both of these from mustangtuning.com
The "4.L V8" is a silver vinyl die cut decal. I had two, but I put one on my car and took it off later. It also comes in black. I'm not sure about white.

The "4.6" is a low profile badge, mirror finish.
http://store.yahoo.com/mustangtuning/46badge.html
The decals are 2 for $5.99. The badge is 2 for $22.99
I will be donating one decal and a pair of these badges as door prizes at MVII.
