Hello everyone, I'll be running NT05 in the rears 275/40/18
What is the best combo for the front?

I'm thinking of Nitto Invo 225/35/18 is this OK? or stick with the same hight ?

BTW my car is 2003 so no traction problem. Also the car lowered about 1.5 inch maybe.

Your rear tire is WAY too short!!! 275/40 is like a rubber band, you want 295/45ZR18, or 295/40 if you don't want a 28.5" tire.

225/35 is also incredibly narrow & too short. Get a 255/45ZR18 up front. Those are made in several of Nitto's lines.

Could you please explain what is the problem if the tires become short? And 255 I'm afraid is not enough to grip!

the 255 is for the front tires only. they are wider than stock size. Do you have widened rear rims? you will be limited on rear tires for grip with stock rims. Short tires look so wrong on these large cars.

Here is a comparison of the stock size rear and the 275 40 18
do you see the issue?

^^^ He nailed all the bases you need to know, but I think you're confused on how a tire is sized. The first number is the width of the tire. For example, a 225 is an 8.8" wide tire, while a 255 is 10" wide. The higher the number, the wider the tire. The second number is the sidewall height of the tire, i.e. how tall it is. Remember that the wider a tire is, the taller it is as well.

It's seems that 45 is the way to go.
I have stock width wheels! Is it a problem to run 275?
I'm sure I read someone run a 280 and 295 too on a stock wheels! Sorry for asking too much but the tires things it's kinda confusing!!!!!

Do not run the 275 - 40. It is too small diameter. 265-50, 285-50, 295-45

275/40 is something you'd find on a Mustang. It's a rubber band. If you aren't going to widen your stock rear rims, get a 265/50. If you are going to widen your rims, get a 295/45

The problem is I can't find more than 40 in nitto's tires here in my country! What is the problem of the 40's beside the look? my car is lowered and if it's only gonna look bad. No problem, Because I don't have another choice I've been searching for a 45's but no luck whatsoever!
