April 1st still brings a tear to my eye. He was a good friend who did it his way.
Miss you Alan.

Miss you Alan.

He was awesome.

Sad day for the racing community.

What amazed me most about him was how well he spoke and delivered an explanation to the media. A very well educated man. He was ground breaking in my mind on TV interviews. Everyone else sounded like the were from the back woods a had a southern drawl.

'93 was a bad year for NASCAR between the loss of the Polish Prince and my favorite to this day, Davey Allison.

I believe the 92 NASCAR season was most remembered cus lots was going on.

Kulwicki won the championship by 12 points & the battle with Elliott,Wallace,Earnhardt,Alli son was heating up & Richard Petty Retiring & Jeff Gordon's rookie season.

But Alan's Under-Bird live's on. :banana2:

That last Atlanta race in '92 was a thrill. Of course, I was happy for Alan, but wished Davey would have won the Cup.
