Recall on LCM

As most of you know, Ford has issued a recall on our LCM's.
My second LCM recently failed (within the last week).
I talked to my local dealer. He said parts are supposed to ship
this month for the new LCM's.
This recall covers all LCM's even if you had it replaced under warranty previously. If you paid for the LCM out of pocket, Ford will reimburse you the cost. ( They did that for me initially under the courtesy warranty extension). This new part should make a relay upgrade unnecessary.

Has been discussed numerous times in other threads.

Ford will replace it as long as you meet the time and mileage restrictions.

How do you know the new part should make a relay upgrade unnecessary?
