Seems pretty typical for this time of year sadly. On the bright side, prices will still be lower than the were a few years ago.

Summer blend costs more to make. Supposedly. Or does winter cost more? I forget. But it's summer "screw the consumer" time so whatever.

I remember when there was no such thing as a "driving season" or blend price difference, etc. Gas prices were what they were on any given day. Then the news always wanted a supposed so called expert to always analyze the post 9/11 prices and you started hearing about thus such reason or that such reason, or a driving season for every time of year or every day practically or whatever. Then you start hearing about blends costing differently, etc. So I subscribe more to the Wall Street or Shiek farting idea and the chaos theory of the butter fly flapped its wings in China which caused a hurricane in Tennessee, etc..

We had our price increase 4 weeks ago.
We are hovering around $2.75 for premium here in LA., down
from $3.30

Same here in Buffalo, NY. Price is around $2.30 right now. My guess is its due to the lower than expected gasoline reserves a few weeks ago. Its just trickling down to the consumer now. Should go back down eventually and stay around this low for the foreseeable future. Suck it OPEC!

The news here reported about a week ago that gas prices would go down since we were back to summer blend. I knew then it was the kiss of death. Every time the news says the price of gas is going down it goes up. Premium here is $2.73 while regular is $2.15

Two to three weeks ago, the price for regular was at about $1.60. Add 80 cents for premium. Now it is up over $2.00 for regular and $2.80 for premium. Must be executive bonus time at the oil companies. Every year we go through these horseshit increases based on phones rationale.

When oil was $150 per barrel gas still never got over $4.50 per gallon or so, at least around here. Do the math. We're getting hosed.

I don't get that .80 cents crap. When I started driving it was only 10% more for 91 and 20% more for 93. NOT 50%

And of course 87 was only .99 cents back then and stayed there for many years.

For years and years midgrade was 10 cents more than regular and premium was 10 cents more than midgrade. It was as predictable as the sunrise.

For a couple weeks Costco premium was only 25 cents more than regular. For a long time it was a 60 cent upcharge. As I write this Costco premium is a 40 cent upcharge. It makes no sense.

Yes
It took a full year for Sunoco 104 to go from 4.50 a gallon to 8 the next

But, during that time it was like, might as well buy the good stuff for the turbo cars

Why havent race gas prices dropped down to 5 buck anymore? Last I looked c16 was 16.00 a gallon. That's why I have methanol injection on all my turbo cars
