On CVC, GM, Marauder..the moveable pedal option equipped ones, the plastic gear breaks and renders the pedal not moveable, this replaces the broken plastic gear with a brass one as Ford has no fix for this, except buy a whole pedal assembly..which will end up breaking at some point. They are available from member Curless and there are instructions on now to do it here on this site.

I think I adjusted mine when I bought it and haven't touched it since. As far as I know, mine isn't broken. I have 2 or 3 vehicles with adjustable pedals..wonder if they all have problems.
