Has anyone ever replaced the driver and passenger seats in the Marauder?

I am considering the Recaro Style XL Topline. I welcome input - will they fit and look nice? I would like an ergonomic, luxury seat like Cadillacs have - lots of support and so comfortable, you could recline back and take a nap.

Recaro makes some of the best seats in the industry.

not sure if they make an adapter. Corbeau makes one, their seats are not nearly as nice..

Airbag light will need to be disabled also.

Stock seats are 100lbs? heavy, Id like mine to sit lower

Corbeau does have some nice seats, particularly the CR1 & GTS II, but they're not Recaro. There was a guy with a 2005 Marquis on here that modified the stock seat bracket to fit a recovered Sparco seat, so that could be an option. If I recall, the bracket is just held on with four 12mm bolts.

Stock seats suck for us skinny guys. Absolutely zero side bolstering. Didn't Steve Babcock say they were just recovered P71 seats?

Changing them out is something I really look forward too. Then a cage and a wider counsel w/hand brake. [emoji6]

The air bag sensors will need to be figured out, not just disable the light. There are weight sensors that determine if seat is occupied etc. It's not plug n play.. It's only money, they will print more

Recovered Town Car seats. My LX Sport seats are just recovered P71 seats, and as comfy as they are, there is NO side bolstering.

IIRC soneone on CVN swapped to racing seats and swapped the airbag sensor into the bottom of the new seat and it functioned properly. I even want to say it's the car Adam just bought with the stick.

Always thought the seats are weak sauce. Not enough bolstering, not enough low positioning.

My Kirkeys sit low and weigh nothing, but they are *not* something you want to take a long trip with.

I feel the Marauder should have the factory seats but I agree that there's no side bolstering big boned (or husky as my mom called me) or not...

Check out http://wedgebrackets.com/ford-crown-victoria-97-05-seat-brackets.html for all your bracket needs. I'm running those brackets with Cobra Daytona sports in both my Vics

If only they made a performance seat that would work with our power controls... Then again, I'd give up the power adjustability to get a seat that would hold me in place on the curves.

Mustang seats might be able to be retrofitted... would have to research.

The Recaro does just that with heat and full power adjustments.

Chris, what did you do about the airbag & weight sensor in Casper?

Spectragod

Side airbags are easy to bypass, 2.7 ohm resistor. Weight sensor could be retrofitted....

Still in the process of figuring out. I have the stock bladder but it was too large to fit in the bottom of the seat. I could just zip tie underneath but would prefer to have it function correctly. Any suggestions?
