Looking into a convoy. Its really only a 1 day drive for me but I'll do 2 to hook up with others.

What are your thoughts?

We will be rolling out Wednesday morning, probably around 10 am. Hitting I-76 in Breezewood.

That sounds about right. The GPS said 7:40 from near Asbury Park NJ to home about a half hour past the Embassy Suite. We made a side trip to the 911 memorial near Shankstown PA. We got off at exit 146(?) Bedford and drove Rt 30 parallel to the turnpike, and then got back on at Somerset exit 110(?) Was a nice break and a stretch of the legs.

Will be departing Rhode Island EARLY around 4AM on Thursday morning. Hope to be there by Thursday afternoon. 10 hour drive, I think.

Trying to get the "retired" guy to leave early so we can chill at the hotel Wed afternoon. This would mean leaving Perry Hall Wed morn around 6am for a 7-hour drive(have to do this time to beat Beltway CRAP)~~not sure if this will happen, but we can only hope :):)

Stayed Sat and Sun in Secaucus, we were the last stop for the transit bus before the NY port authority, saw the sights in NYC, then left monday morning for Eatontown about an hour south, near Asbury Park. Beach was beautiful, but the wind was blowing about 30 knots, we got sand blasted. Tuesday was overcast and threatening rain, so we went to Atlantic City and walked the boardwalk and Debbie shopped! Sun came out as we pulled out of AC. We left Wed for home, as Debbie had to be back to work Thurs. I started the month in Vegas, ended it in Atlantic City, and only gambled $7, the last $5 on the lottery, which I won my $5 back but needed to cash it in in NJ! :rolleyes:

Planning to get on the road between 9 - 10 AM on Wednesday. Will be about an hour behind you depending on the delay getting through Northern Virginia commuter traffic on the Capitol Beltway. Should make Hagerstown before 11 AM if I'm lucky !!

We will be leaving around 9:15 from our house. Cruising with Paul and maybe HammerDown and retired guy. Meeting the Yimma's and Dean at I-76 PA Turnpike, North Midway Service Plaza, Bedford PA. It's Mile Marker 147.

For anyone that would like to cruise with us and roll together through the Allegheny Mountain tunnel, meet us at the North Midway Service Plaza no later than 11 am on Wednesday. Please post up so we know to expect you.

My timeline puts us at the North Midway Service Plaza about 12:00 Noon. Getting through NoVa commuter traffic on I-95 and I-495 to I-270 north is too unpredictable to cut it any finer. Will check in at the plaza when we get there and look around for MMs. However, it looks like we will be running about 1 hour behind you. Will let you know if plans change or if traffic is less than anticipated. Don't wait on us ... I have cell #s for several folks in your group.

That could be a plan for me also I use I-80 westbound to get to Chicago a lot.

I am leaving Tuesday need to visit a few dear bus friends in Western Pa. and Ohio before the fun starts. I'll be at the hotel very late Tuesday more than likely sleep in Wednesday till early afternoon.

I am sorry to miss all the fun of a convoy, but hey there always the ride home:)

Oh and I used points to day for almost 4 nights of my stay, not bad. Thanks Hilton.
