Does anyone know if the proportioning valve for a 78 Bronco will fit a 78 LTD? Need one and can find plenty for a Bronco, none for an LTD, but the valves for the Bronco seem like they'd work for the LTD.

Cross reference the part and see if it is interchangeable .

I don't have the part number. The exterior of the valve is heavily corroded, and my searches online haven't been fruitful.

If it is any help the master cylinder part numbers are different. I would think that they are not the same, but I am not for sure. I will do some looking around today.

Took a look there... Zero matches. But thanks for the link, though.

When I took a look at one offering for the Bronco, it had an image that detailed the ports on the valve. It looked like the fitting sizes matched, the mounting holes lined up the same, and had the same sensor port in the same place. I just can't understand, though, why there's no listing for this valve anywhere.

maybe send this guy a ask the seller a question..I;m thinknig disc/drum valves might be very similar..his add says that it CAN BE used on F150 etc... or try a NAPA..some napa stores have old stuff around still.

Sent a few messages back and forth. It seems they aren't compatible, partially because the sensors aren't the same. The rest could likely be dealt with using adapters if necessary.
