I am looking for a Marauder, and found one that has a spoiler like I have not seen on a Marauder before. Owner says it was installed by the dealer. Any thoughts? I don't mind the spoiler, if it is right.

It is not oem for a marauder.

The only spoilers I have seen before on these cars are the OEM and the Rousch version. Never saw one like that.

With that said, if you like it, it's "right" :)

This is the OEM Marauder spoiler that I am aware of:

Every Marauder owner on the planet will know it was not original design spoiler. I question why a dealer would use after market spoiler when they sale a factory spoiler. Looks like there is not light in it, and it is blocking the view of the third brake light from the rear.
People do all kinds of alterations to these cars. My vote is that it is a odd duck.

It's not original, but there is nothing wrong with most modifications if they are what you want. Just please for the love of God, stay away from the big douchebag ricer wings, and the ghetto roller 26" wheels.

It is definitely not OEM. It does not look too bad in MY opinion. Like they said if you like it then it is good to go.

OEM Spoilers are the best.

It's all cost. I walked out of a deal on a Ford Ranger over $35 and an aftermarket bedliner. For some reason the sales guy just didn't want to sell me a Ford bedliner. Go figure. He was pretty sad when he called me the next day and I'd bought one from another dealer, with the liner I wanted.

Any thoughts? I don't mind the spoiler, if it is right.Depends on what you mean by "right". As others already said, it's not OEM and if you like it that's all that counts, but since you asked, I think it looks like it belongs on a ricer.

Don't let the DODGE owners hear you say that ;)

I put an 04 Mustang GT spoiler on mine, body lines all looked good. I agree about the Dodge boys comment.

Why, do the Dodge boys like their cars to look like ricers? I don't see a lot of spoilers on 300s, Chargers or Challengers...

Cruztaker had that spoiler on his, it is a FORD spoiler, not sure from what.My dealer installed one like that on my 98 SVT Contour before I took delivery. Didn't know that that was considered "Ricer"! I never installed one on my Marauders, because I didn't care for the OEM. Does that make it wrong?

Just because it isn't the the majority approved spoiler, is it the wrong one? Or look like crap? If the OP likes it, that's all that matters!

Pet spoiler looks an awful lot like the one that I had on my 1996 Mercury Cougar. I don't remember if it was a dealer installation or a factory installation, but I'm pretty sure it had the high tail light in it.

You will now, they love that spoiler . . . .

That spoiler looks better on the Mopars...looks too high on the Marauder, but maybe it's the camera angle.

Besides Barry's, I know I've seen that same spoiler on at least one or two others. I read about one of them right on this site and it was dealer installed.

Although a little taller than my taste, I like it.

OEM Spoilers are the best.

I disagree. The OEM one does look better than none at all but it doesn't really resemble a spoiler. More of a cheap decorative piece of trim.

I loved the factory spoiler on my Tbird and this one resembles it (as does the Rousch).

The one in the OP doesn't have the turned down edges like the Mopar one on the red car in the photo. That gap on the outside edges is what kills it in my book.

Not my taste but glad to see anything modded.

Doesn't Waymon have one too?

There is a similar one on an SB for sale in NJ.

A dealer can and will install anything. Is it the OEM spoiler for a Marauder? No.
