I have loved the Marauders since I first saw one in late 2002, but am not in a position to buy another toy, and am in search of one.
Found what apears to be a nice one about 600 miles from me.
First question, have any of you fellows experience with having a vehicle transported, such as recommended haulers and estimated cost?
For the glossary. I am reading references to the terms Panther and DRT.
What are the meanings, as it relates to these cars?
Thanks Gentlemen!

Panther is the platform (Town Car, Crown Vic, Grand Marquis) DTR is the abbreviation for Dark Toreador red, available in 2004. Only 980 were in that color.

fly in, drive it hme is cheapest.
I prefer Reliable Carriers, prolly pricey though. guessing $500-750. whicb will be at their convenience, could be 1 day or 2 weeks to pick up as they will plan it with other moves along the way.
Panther is Ford's designation for the platform (body/frame/engine) of it's full size, rear wheel drive sedans built since late 1978 (1979 model year) Includes the Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis and Marauder.
DTR is an acronymn for a certain paint used on the 2004 Mercury Marauder and certain
F-150 truck models. It stands for Dark Toreador Red.
Legend has it that the paint's weight and resistance to air flow actually made the DTR Marauder slower. However, many DTR owners vehemently disagree. But the legend still persists.

It is factual. Science proves Silver is the fastest due to the ability to reflect heat and light allowing the surface to stay cooler and therefore not expand due to heat. In essence creating a smaller swept area when traveling through the atmosphere.
I didn't know that. So that's why my Silver Birch is super fast. I feel so much better now.

Thank you, Gentlemen.
This stuff is new to me.
I own and have owned several pickups, and had a 2012 Boss 302, but my only car at this times is a 1973 Mach 1. My daily driver is a 2014 Raptor.

Partially correct. Although the SB is faster than DTR due to your posted reasons, the super slick sinister & evil looking Black is the fastest of the 4 colors. It attains this status over the other 3 colors due to the influence from the Underworld - color by Beelzebub... :fire::cool5::seesaw::fire: :D

the super slick sinister & evil looking Black is the fastest of the 4 colors. The SR-71 Blackbird, the fastest manned aircraft in the world, is also black.
Coincidence? ;)
