Hello,
Long time no see here, 2 years ago my son and I supercharged his MM had it tuned at MO's. Its still going strong and has been to Car Shows and Meets as far away as NOLA, Golden Colorado and several passes down the local drag strip.
That said he wants to swap the tranny to the T56. Are there any threads on this I'm sure its been done just having a difficult time finding it.
At the same time the plan to replace the Engine internals w/ cobra Crank & Rods and new forged oversized pistons and taller cam. His goal is about 750 crank hp.
How difficult is it to get that kind of hp with these ideas? Considering he's already pushing 10lbs and like to go for 15 to 17.
Thank you

I think there was one T56 car back in old old old days here. No write up I've ever seen and plenty of break downs so I've heard.
There was a T56 Magnum done about four years ago. There was never any follow up on the final touches and the owner sold it right after.
And then there is mine, but it's a TR6060 from a GT500 and you don't want headache.. It was only tracked once and I blew the POS driveshaft the local shop made me clean in half at the 1000' foot mark. I also sheered all the teeth off my 4.30's on the street, with street tires, 1st gear, clutch already up. I believe it's quite stout now as I've put 14,000 hard miles on her. Just be ready to break ****. The amount of instant torque sent to the wheels is ridiculous.
My builds:

Parts list:

Blower:

Or there is crownvic.net. But that's mostly budget builds, except for maybe a couple.
As for your HP goal. Never, ever going to happen till he replaces the Heaten with a 3.4 Whipple, and a whole new fuel system. Did I mention the trans and rear? Or install a Centri, mine makes 704 at only 5,800 RPMS. No clue what the real numbers are as the factory twin disc won't hold out after that.
Keep the current blower at 15 or less unless it's been ported. It will creat more heat than power otherwise. My last blower was a Trilogy at 20 1/2#s. Useless.

Thank you for the quick replies, we have been looking at whipples, pretty much figured that was in order but was going to go there after the internals were done, and broke-in as it is now with the exception of the stick, the injectors, rails boost a pump all would come with the smaller eaton pulley or whipple

Thanks Again Bob, and nice job on the build. That's where its going, just a non hydraulic clutch. My sons car has 4:10s in the rear and looks like there are a couple options in the gear ratios
1st 2.66 to 1st 2:92
2nd 1:78 2nd 2:10
3rd 1:30 3rd 1:46
4th 1.00 4th 1:00
5th 0:80 5th 0:74
6th 0.63.00 6th 0.50
the 2:66 being probably the better option for a heaver car ?

I would prefer the 2.66 to stretch her legs a tad further. With a blower you probably couldn't even feel a difference in acceleration.
I have the 2.97 w/ final being .50 and it has no issue crossing a four lane intersection and easily past 30 mph. So not bad, but all out useless to get into it. Tires fry no matter the speed, best off to hold off to 2nd.
The .50 yields a cruising RPM of 2,050 @80 with I "think" the 4.30 I had. I believe the 4.10 is just flirting with 2,000 RPMS IIRC. Useless till at least 90 regardless. Too high of a gear for long durations at 75/80, gives off very slight drone and acceleration really lacks lol. Doable for small breaks listening to higher RPMS of 5th though.
I built this car for the Chicago half mile shoot out. Not that I'd ever possess the needed balls to run those speeds...
