The final version of the Elio will be unitized sheet metal.
The reasons why they went that route is due to many factors sited on their news blog.
Basics; weight , costs, integrity of fit and finish, etc.
The other accomplished item is firm base pricing for
Non refundable reservations.
I received confirmation , that if it does make it to fruition,
I am locked in for $7,000.00 plus options, destination, doc,license & title etc.
Last I looked reservations were just short of 60,000.
I know there's a long way to go but there's also a lot of support for this vehicle.
Keeping my fingers crossed!
