HI,

It seems my BCM (blower control) has quit after 32,000miles and 13 yrs.

Rock has the ford units for $66 but they also have STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS # RU572 units for $34.

My question is not about the price but which one will last longer.

Unless the ford units have been redesigned, which seems unlikely as the part #'s seem unchanged, they will likely fail again.

This Standard unit does not seem to be the "T" series which is their low line. I have had good luck with the regular standard line in the past.

So is there any knowledge as to which unit is better?

Jay

Might not be the best person to ask, but I had this done in my Crown Vic Replaced with an OEM part. My logic was the OEM part for me lasted over 10 years so I got the same again.

If you have lots of problems with the OEM one though, then go for it! Otherwise maybe just spend the $30 more for OEM

I would go with OEM also.

Send me your old one and I'll repair it and send it back.

Just to report back on the standard brand unit #RU572. It is indeed not a cheap "T" line product but it is... Made in China.

Are the Ford brand units at least not made in China?
