My wipers went crazy. Only would work full speed then they quit all together, my washer fluid pump squirted all of the fluid out on its own, the lights started turning on and off when they were on automatic on the light selector switch. I replaced the multi switch today. But, the 7.5 amp fuse keeps popping and the wipers won't function. Any thoughts?

Wacky wiper syndrome. Need to clean out the cowl and most likely Reale the wiper motor. You'll see the problem once you get the cowl cover off.

If your car lives outside you will need to clean under the cowl periodically. If you clean out the debris that is living under the cowl and let the wiper motor dry out completely you may not need to replace it. Wacky wipers is a common issue,

My 03 did the lights on and off with each swipe of the wiper arms

The wiper motor was the culprit, and at the wiper motor connection, the male portions stuck into the female connections of the wip harness

Pull it all apart and if you see green corrosion replace the wiper motor

You can unhook the whip harness and it'll stop popping your fuses

For what it's worth, both times I had wacky wipers, I never blew a fuse. Although I'd suspect the wacky wipers/dirty cowl syndrome first........the 7.5 popping is sorta odd to me.

I hope that's all it is. Just remove the cowl , clean and dry?

If you need a new wiper motor, a Motorcraft from tascaparts is only $104.

Rock Auto only has the A1 Cardone version. :censor:

I hope that's all it is. Just remove the cowl , clean and dry? While you've got the cowl off you might also want to drill out the weep holes a bit to enlarge them for better drainage.
