Discovered a week ago that I'm leaking PS fluid. If I remove the boot that covers the inner tie rod(D.S) i can see where fluid ends up. The passenger side is fine. Before I purchase a new unit, what are my options? Can I buy the sealing kit? I understand that the MM steering gearbox has a different gear ratio than the CV/GM. Any advice to save cost will be considered first.

Remove it and have it re-sealed

Thanks for the reply. It was leaking where lines goes into the steering gearbox. The seals were bad so I replaced with o-rings from the part store. I did order the seal kit just in case the o-rings didn't hold up. So far so good.http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170101/1da88ee9ae2f1a4f868d8761fe4cc6 6f.jpg this is where it was leakinghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170101/183fcaecfdab1863f410d11b9997a1 fb.jpgcleaned the gunkhttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170101/2cd67414c9c6fbed63f1d0f519d938 f8.jpgspray paint then reinstalled

Those are special Teflon rings.
Get those o-rings out ASAP

Those Teflon rings didn't look like much but special enough that my local part stores didn't have in stock . I purchased the seal kit from oriellys should be later this morning. Due to work schedule I'll have to wait until Saturday morning. Thanks for the heads up Zack

The teflon rings are always white. Ford stocks them. The parts store has them packaged in the aisle

[emoji848] the ones I removed were blue in color. I wonder if.......never mind. I'll get the right stuff, it was easy enough to remove and reinstall

There are only two lines with Teflon rings. I have never had any of the other lines removed like you do

Correct! There are only two lines with teflon rings. The other two that is held down with the small metal plate has o-rings on them. The fluid lines that run along the rack would get stuck where the fake oil pressure sensor is located, so I removed the lines to wiggle it out. I have big hands so I had to make it work for me
