So are these going to be collectible? Never see them and came across this for sale. Looking at it tomorrow. What are you thoughts.

[insert mullet pic here with slayer as background music]

No real thoughts on whether they would be a collector's item. However, it's all in the eye of the beholder. If you like it and feel it's right, get it...the collector's part works itself out.

Always wanted an 89 GTA with the turbo v6.

I've owned 2 with less than 8,000 miles and another with 40k

Very fun cars! Basically they are a Buick grand national engine with fwd lesabre heads to fit the strut towers
The heads, block, crank, Pistons, timing cover are all different part #s than the GN, block is SG1 with a tad more metal, crank is cross drilled etc

1550 made 5 prototypes

Also best known as the TTA

Those cars ride rough, bolt on 26x10.5 16 et streets and it'll smooth out

HIGHLY doubt this firehawk is the 1 of the only white 91-92 hawks built out of the 25 total that were B4U to hawk specs

Most formulas were dog 305 TBI NOT TPI and you could get a 350 TBI too. What a shame!!
Grow ya a Kentucky waterfall and rock out!

Yes, I love the 3rd gens with the 4th gens a close second.

I don't hate the 1st and 2nds. I just love the looks, proportions, sleekness, ttops and the mystique of the 1LE's. I must not leave out the amazing 89 TTA. Plus my first Fbody was an 89 Formula, t-tops, WS6, dual cats, 5.0TPI with a 5 speed manual. It was such a fun car. Especiall driving around downtown Chicago with the t-tops off while rowing through the 5 speed. It was magical. Later I bought a super minty 1997 Camaro SS with every SS option minus t-tops and the rare LT4 anniversary model. It was an awesome car. But didn't seem as magical for me.

I did miss out on buying a 92 Firehawk. My SS was not sold so I could not buy that rare awesome machine.

After looking at the pic Firehawks built by SLP started in 91, the rarest and most expensive being the 91-92 years fully optioned $52k! I test drove a 4th gen Firehawk in 02 difference between WS6 performance wise only 10 HP difference (325 vs 335). It did come with all the Firhwak badging, specific hood, auburn LSD, Firehawk specific suspension Koni or Bilstein both provided better dampening than the WS6 setup.

If it is a 91-92 it's a rare bird that will cost you...

LOL 1st and 2nd gen are the best. You can take your chevy or corporate motors and shovel em. Take them motors and shovel 'em, close enough.

Will the radio still play Lynyrd Skynyrd cassettes? Does the cup holder still hold Pepsi cans? If there a place for a pack of smokes in the console? Game on!!! It's gotta be worth tens of dollars!

The 305 was slow. Used to crush a kid in town a couple times a year when I had my 5.0 Mustang back when I had my own private race track. The looks never did anything for me, but if it rocks your World, get it. Who cares if it's collectable.
