This eBay one isn't a 427 car, but for a 63.5 that sold for a little over 12k was a deal
I have a marauder motor and trans i would have swapped in and drove the wheels off it. ( just dreaming )

My dad has a 63.5 galaxie 390 auto car. It's fun cruising in that thing. Been trying to get to put his 428 scj in it. Or atleast a cam in the 390 would be nice. But he don't want to.

Old School CAMMER [S.O.H.C.] is the way to go . Factory 675 hp engine out of the box ,to bad they were not mass produced like the Chrysler Hemi .They were a little under 10,000 Hemi powered cars from 65/66 to 71 . RIP....

I have always wondered if that type of hood would look good on a late model Marauder.

I can understand your dad's point of view.
My 64 Galaxie 390/300 rarely goes faster than the speed limit. These cars (and guys my age) are better suited for cruising.
I replaced the stock 352/4V with a 390 because the 352 developed a knock, and the rebuilt 390 was the best alternative. Otherwise, the car would still have the 352.

me too, I'm not sold on a different hood, I like how stock my car looks, but... every time I see an old time cool hood I'd like one on the MM

It will be interesting to see what this Boss 429 sells for.

It's an early production model with NASCAR internals.

Local swap meet.... guy had a sohc cammer motor for $25,000.00
Ouch!
When I bought my house, a 427 6 bolt main, 2 4bbl side oiler motor was left in my garage from previous owner. Not kidding
Top loader 4 speed was in the corner

That's a lot to leave behind.
