The unlucky anniversary

13 years ago today I took off from Lufkin, TX at 330am headed to Athens, TN to pickup my new Marauder. Drove 770 miles there, picked up the car and then drove 200 miles back to Birmingham to spend the night before driving back home. The car had set on the dealer's lot for 18 months before I bought it. It's been a fun car to have, and I still enjoy just looking at it. I didn't drive it to work today, but if I had, it would've turned over 97,000 miles on the way. The car has been a lot of fun, and I've met a lot of cool people along the way.

I wonder how many of us original owners are still on the board?

Had 150 miles on it when purchased because the dealer in Clanton, Al had to get it from a dealer (Pugmire, I believe) in Atlanta and was driven back to Clanton.

original owner. sat for 8 months on the lot with 6 miles on it. Now has 95,000. I was 22 when bought, now 35. Get off my lawn! I remember at ennis (iirc) Sergent Mac asking me why a young guy would buy this car. I told him I had a list of requirments for my first new car: big, v8, rwd. The marauder was it!

The dealership has since closed.
The brand is since dead.
Even my salesman has passed on.
